Some players on the defensive side of the ball are starting to see a leap in their recruitment, and it will only continue to grow. Here's a look at 5 defensive players that are rising their stock: <img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-24525" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2020/06/Generic-Featured-Image-4-300x187.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="187" />

Misa is a highly touted prospect that has been racking up offers. He has recently landed offers from Penn State and Cal, and holds 13 offers total. He shows tremendous instincts and range with the ability to make plays sideline to sideline. He sheds blocks well to blow up plays often, and has shown to be a very impressive open field tackler. Tremendous athleticism all across the board and projects to be a multi year starter at a power 5 school.
[player_tooltip player_id="87310" first="Tristan" last="Dunn"], <em>DB/LB, 6’4" 190lbs, Sumner HS</em>
Dunn landed an offer from Arizona State in February, and holds previous offers from Boise State, Arizona, Utah State, Washington State, Utah, and Florida Atlantic. Dunn holds big position versatility with the ability to play FS, SS, MLB or OLB. Excellent athleticism all across the board with solid ball skills in coverage. He shows excellent play recognition with a strong football IQ on the defensive side of the ball and holds a very high ceiling.
[player_tooltip player_id="87320" first="KeeKee" last="McQueen"], <em>DB, 5’10" 175lbs, Spanaway Lake HS</em>
McQueen has been seeing a ton of love from multiple Mountain West Programs. He holds offers from Nevada, UNLV, and Utah State, all of which have been keeping in touch heavily via twitter. He has also drawn notable interest from Boise State, Army, Washington State, Eastern Washington, Dartmouth, Columbia, Cal, and Colorado. He closes ground well as a tackler with a nice pop to finish off ball carriers. Good range and speed as a safety with big potential going forward, and should see his recruitment spark up if he continues on the same trajectory.
[player_tooltip player_id="87315" first="Peter" last="Taoipu"], <em>DL, 6’5" 350lbs, Eastside Catholic HS<img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-78555" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2020/12/IMG_4425-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></em>
Taoipu holds 4 offers from Arizona State, Colorado, Nebraska, and Michigan, but is a guy that I believe will see a massive jump in his recruitment soon. Taoipu sizes up with a massive build and wide frame with solid both upper and lower body strength. He’s a very powerful kid up front with a big striking ability. Consistently overpowers and knocks opponents backward and is a feared player at DT. He has big potential as he matures, as there will definitely be eyes on him throughout this spring season.
[player_tooltip player_id="87324" first="Mike" last="Westbrook"], <em>DB, 6’1" 200lbs, Lakes HS</em>
Westbrook is rising up the DB charts, as he has recently been drawing interest from Northwestern and UCLA, and drew previous interest this past fall from Colorado, and UNLV. He also holds previous offers from Nevada and Florida Atlantic. He shows loose hips with a solid change of direction, and good ball skills in the back half of the field. He comes downhill well to provide run support and is molding into a very put together safety. He had a big week 1 with a pick 6, and looks to see a major jump in his stock if he continues on the same trajectory.
