For the folks that have gotten familiar with Prep RedZone Arkansas, examining the under the radar talent has become something I like to commit my focus. We will focus on four or five athletes on every under the radar article we finish. The recruits that we focus on will not stay under the radar with a good offseason and solid 2021 football season.
[player_tooltip player_id="75097" first="Hunter" last="McAlister"]-Quarterback-Alma
The Alma Airedales quarterback has displayed good mobility in the pocket. He has a strong arm and with his 6-6 size he is able to make good use of his size. What stands out on the first look at McAlister, is that he is not afraid to scramble to pick up the yards. He is willing to put his body on the line to pick up a first down or stick the ball in the endzone. McAlister does not have a problem looking down the field to make the explosive deep throw. A good offseason and a strong season will have scouts taking a closer look at him and extending some scholarship offers.
[player_tooltip player_id="75113" first="Lavonte" last="Clark"]-Defensive End/Linebacker-Stuttgart
[player_tooltip player_id="75113" first="Lavonte" last="Clark"] is a player that defensive coordinators love. Clark can play and excel at multiple positions, which makes him a player that scouts are going to want to study more closely. Clark uses his speed well to get into the offensive backfield. He is an extremely disruptive play from the defensive end position. From the linebacker spot, Clark does a good job of filling the rushing lane and taking on blockers. Clark has the speed to do well as a coverage linebacker and he has the ability to do drop back into pass coverage.
[player_tooltip player_id="95746" first="Josh" last="Robinson"]-Offensive Line-Greenbrier
Robinson is one of those offensive linemen that plays with a mean streak. Robinson is an excellent run blocker, and he uses his speed to get into the defensive linemen and drive his opponent to the ground. He shows good power when it comes to keep opposing defensive linemen off of his quarterback. The young man is 6-5 and has the frame to support another 15 pounds. With a solid summer of offseason work and good season, Robinson will not stay under the radar.
[player_tooltip player_id="95545" first="Chase" last="Cross"]-Wide Receiver-Hot Springs Lakeside
Cross is a big play threat all over the field. He is one of the most explosive wide receivers in the 2022 class and a player that will not stay under the radar. Cross uses his speed to create separation from the opposing defender. The Lakeside coaching staff does a good job of creating mismatches with Cross. He can line up in the slot or the outside wide receiver positions. Cross has the potential to really catch some scout’s eyes during the offseason as well as during the 2021 season.
[player_tooltip player_id="75122" first="Walker" last="Catsavis"]-Wide Receiver/Quarterback-Fort Smith Northside
[player_tooltip player_id="75122" first="Walker" last="Catsavis"] is one of the most intriguing prospects in the 2022 class. Northside has lined Catsavis up at the quarterback and the wide receiver spots. From the quarterback perspective, Catsavis does a good job of extending the play and keeping his eyes down the field. Catsavis has an accurate arm and can fit the ball into some tight windows. Meanwhile, from the wide receiver perspective, Catsavis uses his athletic ability to go up and highpoint the football. He does an impressive job of creating separation and he has the speed to be a problem for the opposing secondary.
