Grabbing the Spotlight Shamar Easter Tight End Ashdown
Over the past decade, the state of Arkansas has done excellent job of producing talent at the tight end position. When fans and scouts look at Hunter Henry, DJ Williams, and Chris Gragg and see the talent that has been produced in Arkansas, it is only natural to start looking toward the future. The next great tight end in the state of Arkansas also happens to be currently the number one player in the state according to the 2023 Prep RedZone Arkansas rankings.

out of Ashdown is the player that scouts, and fans are going to want to keep an eye on over the next two years.
Easter is a multisport star for the Ashdown Panthers. When he is not on the gridiron, he is in the gym playing basketball for a talented Panthers basketball program. Easter made it clear when I talked with him the other day that he is wanting the Panthers basketball team to have a deep playoff run. Meanwhile, Easter continues to work on everything associated with improving his game on the football field.
From a recruiting perspective, Easter has started blowing up and landing on recruiting radars. Easter has earned six division one scholarships from numerous powerhouse programs. Two SEC programs have offered Easter and those schools are Tennessee and Arkansas. As the offseason progresses and as we get closer to the 2021 season, Easter will see an increase in scholarship offers most likely. Especially after Easter attends the USA Combine in March, I look for his recruiting to continue to heat up during the summer.
With Easter being a 2023 prospect, his recruiting is going to really intensify over the next few years. He is a team first guy and is focused on his teams winning and succeeding. Easter is just a refreshing person to talk. He knows what he needs to do from a goal perspective but at the same time he wants to be make sure Ashdown is successful. Look for his solid play to continue and fans should keep an eye on the talented tight end in southwest Arkansas.
