Grabbing the Spotlight: Luke Wright Tight End Bentonville
The Bentonville Tigers are not at a shortage for weapons going into the 2021 season. The Tigers have plenty of talent on both sides of the ball and quite a bit of that talent is at the skill positions. We are going to look at Bentonville tight end Luke Wright Luke Wright 6'0" | 200 lbs | TE Bentonville | 2022 State AR in this edition of Grabbing the Spotlight.
The first item of business for Wright is continuing to improve in every detail of the game. Wright is working on taking the leadership reigns for the Tigers. Bentonville has a talented group of juniors that are going to be the senior leaders as the 2021 season approaches. A team as talented as Bentonville is, it is always a positive to have experience and leadership returning to teach the future group of Tigers how to conduct themselves.
Wright can do everything that scouts look for in a tight end. Wright does a good job of running routes and catching the football. Wright has good hands and does not drop passes. He is a physical a tight end and can create separation with his good speed. Wright is a threat in the red zone and will cause the opposing defensive coordinators plenty of headaches. Meanwhile, from a blocking perspective, Wright is a solid pass and run blocker. He is an unselfish blocker and will make the block.
The final goals are simple for Wright and the Bentonville Tigers. Wright earned all-state honors in 2020 and he would like to have a repeat of those honors. From a team perspective, the Tigers want to win a state championship and they have the talent to do in 2021. Wright has an incredible amount of potential and I can see him playing on Saturdays. Bentonville and Wright both have similar goals and the talent to achieve those goals.
