Grabbing the Spotlight: Deuce Cooper Defensive Back Fayetteville

The 2021 version of the Fayetteville Bulldogs is shaping up to be a talented version on both sides of the ball. Fayetteville’s roster is loaded and has depth including some talented sophomores that will find their way onto the field this season. We are going to look at one of those talented sophomores in the form of . is a talented defensive back that is determined to have an explosive season on the field this season. To accomplish this goal, Cooper plans on continuing to lift the weights and get bigger and stronger. Putting the work in the offseason will serve Cooper well as the Bulldogs look to make a playoff run in November. Cooper has good coverage skills, and he is not afraid to physical with the opposing wide receiver. He has impressive speed and does not have a problem of sticking with the wide receiver that he is covering. Cooper is not afraid to make a tackle and he gives tremendous effort in bringing down the ballcarrier. Cooper does a good job of preventing the explosive play from the opposing offense. Cooper is excited for seven-on-seven play to start up this spring and summer. He views it as an opportunity to get better and compete against talented wide receivers. The seven-on-seven play gives Cooper a chance to continue to get his timing down with his teammates at Fayetteville. The workouts and the conditioning give him a chance to continue to get stronger and faster. As far as recruiting goes, Cooper has heard from numerous schools and he is enjoying the recruiting process. The sophomore knows that he has time to impress plenty of scouts with his play during the season as well as how he prepares during the offseason. Cooper has the potential to be a division one athlete and his work ethic and drive are indicative of that fact. He will be a fun player to watch over the next year or two.
