Georgia’s class of 2022 has multiple receivers that have shown flashes and look to have the ability to succeed at the collegiate level. While players like De’Nylon Morrissette De’Nylon Morrissette 6'1" | 200 lbs | WR Brookwood | 2022 State GA have already gotten the attention of some big schools, the class of 2022 has a lot of depth at wide receiver. Today let’s look at five receiver prospects colleges need to check out.
Josh Patterson, Georgia Force Christian
Patterson took advantage of being a bigger part of Georgia Force Christian’s offense in his junior year putting up a monster season. He finished the season with 44 receptions for 1,059 yards and 17 touchdowns. It’s no surprise he was a touchdown machine as he’s a great vertical threat. He has enough speed to separate from defenders on vertical routes. Patterson does a nice job releasing off the line of scrimmage. Aside from just his speed, he excels at changing directions quickly and making defenders miss. Patterson demonstrated the ability to run post, out, and in routes very well. He is definitely a player colleges need to look at throughout this offseason and next year.
Highlights
Ray Morrison, Northwest Whitfield
There is much to like about Morrison’s game. For starters, he has strong hands and can catch 50/50 balls. In addition, he can high point the ball. At 6’2″ 180 lbs, he has good size and should be able to really define his body at a collegiate program. His size helps him absorb contact and hold onto the ball. Morrison has the ability to take over games, out of 11 games this past season he put up over 100 receiving yards in 4 of them. He was stellar this past season, ending the year with 54 receptions for 915 yards and 9 touchdowns. Morrison’s football IQ is great, as he was able to find open spaces when his quarterback scrambled outside the pocket. Morrison has a lot of favorable traits and is a player who can succeed at the next level at the right program.

Harshaw was great this past season, earning 1st Team All-Region in region 4-7A. He racked up 814 yards on 47 receptions and had 7 touchdowns. He runs a nice post route being able to consistently find the open space in the middle of the field. Harshaw is comfortable running more complex routes like stop and go’s and corner posts. He has sound hands and rarely drops the ball. Harshaw has the potential to be a playmaker at a DI or DII program.
