Four more quarterbacks rounded out our initial Class of 2023 rankings.
And much like the other five who made the cut, they all benefited from getting on the field early. They put up varying degrees of impressive stat lines while being asked to help their teams win.
One has a family legacy, one a heavily used right arm, one’s already a state champion and the last is a constant highlight.

School: River Bluff
Analysis: With a father as a college coach and three older brothers who all played Division-I football, Bentley may be the most pedigreed quarterback in the country. He is going to get plenty of high-profile games playing at River Bluff, a school that succeeds in one of the state’s toughest class 5A regions.

School: Nation Ford
Analysis: Black very well could develop into a spread offense’s dream quarterback. Take the 2020 duel with Gaffney for example. In that game alone, he scrambled out of the pocket time and again, threw 62 passes (completing 42) and threw for five touchdowns.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>

School: Southside Christian
Analysis: Martin needed just 11 completions to throw for 148 and four touchdowns in the Class A championship win last fall, and his 97 rushing yards were just icing on the cake. His 19-2 touchdown-interception ratio displays how much further we believe he can go.

School: Goose Creek
Analysis: Quarterbacks at Goose Creek are always going to get some love. But 6-foot-3 signal callers who start as sophomores, can launch the long ball or squeeze it into tight windows are going to get it regardless of classification. Moore is a gunslinger who likes the thrill of the chance throw.
