2022 State of Arkansas Quarterbacks Part Three

The 2022 quarterback position grouping is a deep one in the state of Arkansas. In this article we are going to finish up our look at the quarterback class. The 2022 class has numerous recruits with division one talent and the recruiting of the quarterbacks in this class is going to be interesting to watch this season. The offseason work has started, and the seven-on-seven tournaments and team camps are going to be important for these quarterbacks. Starting off with Fort Smith Northside’s [player_tooltip player_id="75122" first="Walker" last="Catsavis"]. Catsavis is going to see plenty of snaps at the quarterback position this season for the Grizzlies. He has a strong and accurate arm. Catsavis has proven that he can make the throws needed to run the Northside offense. He is an extremely dangerous runner and is rarely brought down on initial contact. The Grizzlies’ coaching staff is creative with how they put the ball into Catsavis’ hands. He has division one talent and numerous schools are looking at him as a wide receiver as well as at the quarterback positions. One of the quarterbacks with the most potential in the 2022 class is Bentonville quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="93558" first="Drew" last="Wright"]. Wright does a terrific job of keeping his eyes down the field and getting his talented receiving corps the ball. He has a strong, accurate arm and he can fit the ball into some tight windows. Wright leads the Bentonville offense well and he will continue to improve during the offseason. Wright does an impressive job of moving around in the pocket and extending the plays and he will take off and pick-up extra yards when needed. Scouts will get plenty of chances to look at Wright this season and they will not come away disappointed. One team that is ready to take the next step is the Stuttgart Ricebirds. The Ricebirds have plenty of weapons all over the field and impressive one at the quarterback position. Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="92747" first="Pate" last="Kleinbeck"] is a quarterback that does an excellent job of putting his strong arm on display. Kleinbeck led Stuttgart to a 14-1 record, a year after the Ricebirds finished with a 1-9 record. Kleinbeck has a strong arm and is accurate with his passes. He is going to be a player to watch this offseason because he is one quarterback that has strong potential. Stuttgart from a team perspective, will have the opportunity to make a deep playoff run and both Klienbeck and the Ricebirds should have a terrific season. One of the most gifted playmakers in the state is the signal caller at Osceola. [player_tooltip player_id="93555" first="Dontaven" last="Littleton"] is excellent at extending the play and keeping his eyes down the field. Littleton is accurate when it comes to the intermediate and the deep routes. He is not afraid to get out of the pocket and pick-up necessary yards to extend the drive. Littleton is going to cause opposing defensive coordinators plenty of headaches over the next two seasons. Littleton’s recruiting will be interesting to watch because of how versatile he is. He can run and throw, and scouts are going to enjoy watching him. [player_tooltip player_id="94994" first="Cooper" last="Wilcox"] is a quarterback that is an extremely accurate passer. However, the Greenbrier coaching staff does a great job in designing plays that allow Wilcox to get out of the pocket. Wilcox has a second gear when it comes to running the football. He does a good job throwing his receivers open and he leads them just enough to create explosive plays. Greenbrier is going to be a dangerous team with Wilcox as the signal caller. Wilcox knows that the offensive line keeps him clean and allows him to use his legs and he is very complimentary of his teammates. Scouts should be on the look out for a talented Greenbrier football team this season. Finishing up our list of quarterbacks for the 2022 class is Monticello’s [player_tooltip player_id="106935" first="Stran" last="Smith"]. Smith throws an excellent deep ball. He is an accurate passer and does not hang his receiving corps out to dry. Smith does a good job of moving the pocket and extending the play. He keeps his eyes down the field and is always looking to get his wide receivers the football. Smith has a habit of making the difficult throws look easy. Monticello is going to be a force to be reckoned with this season. Smith has the potential to put up some big numbers and his recruiting will be fun to watch this offseason. Scouts will have the opportunity to get plenty of looks this offseason as well as this season. The quarterback position is not the easiest one in the state to play and to handle this position you have to have talented individuals. Fans and scouts should look for this list of quarterbacks to watch out for to grow. The position grouping has flown under the radar, however it will not stay that way as the 2021 season approaches.
