The 2022 player rankings were recently updated and the next group of players up for review are the Offensive Linemen. The players listed are amongst the best in their class:
<strong>State Rank: 15 – POS[Rank] #1. [player_tooltip player_id="28650" first="Cade" last="Goldman"], 6’4” 290, Hickory Ridge HS. </strong>Big agile lineman who quickly contacts defender. He drives the defender into the second level of the defense. Strong straight-line blocking is one of his strengths. A dominant force on the offensive line who will continue high-level of play during the upcoming season.
<strong>State Rank: 28 – POS[Rank] #2. [player_tooltip player_id="28656" first="Rylan" last="Vann"], 6’1” 255, Cary HS.</strong> He displays good lateral footwork which enables him to pick up a defender to block. Maintains constant contact with the defender opening lanes for the running back. He is the #2 Center in the nation and has an offer from NC State Univ. He is expected to continue his high-level of play during the upcoming season.
<strong>State Rank: 29 – POS[Rank] #3. [player_tooltip player_id="97528" first="Jesiah" last="Henderson"], 6’4” 280, Rolesville HS.</strong> Displays great straight- line movement which enables him to drive the defender into the second level of the defense. He displays good downfield blocking and plays at a high energy level. The expectations are high as he prepares for the upcoming season.
<strong>State Rank: 30 – POS[Rank] #4. [player_tooltip player_id="97529" first="Lee" last="Hall"], 6’0” 280, Heritage HS. </strong> He has a quick first step which enables him to drive defender out of the play. A quick and powerful lineman who is a force on the offensive line. He gives maximum effort on every play. His solid level of play is expected to continue during the upcoming season.
<strong>State Rank: 33 – POS[Rank] #5. [player_tooltip player_id="97531" first="Justin" last="Horta"], 6’3” 300, Corinth Holders HS.</strong> Displays good strength and often overpowers the defender. Displays good footwork on pass blocking plays and will continue to get better. He has become a dominant force on the offensive line. The expectations are high as he prepares for the upcoming season, which should be a dominant one.
<strong>State Rank: 35 – POS[Rank] #6. [player_tooltip player_id="97532" first="Xavier" last="Lloyd"], 6’2” 312, Southern Durham HS.</strong> A physical lineman who displays quickness and strength to drive defenders out of the play quickly. Displays good footwork and lateral movement. Strong straight-line blocking is one of his strengths. His solid level of play is expected to continue during the upcoming season.
