Group 5 is the final public group that we have left to cover. Let’s begin by taking a look at the offensive selections for Group 5 First-Team.
<strong>QB: Chad Martini (2021) | Watchung Hills</strong>
Martini is a standout on the football field and the basketball court. His size at 6’6 and athleticism makes him dominant in multiple ways. Through the air, Martini finished with 1,430 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was also able to score six times on the ground.
<strong>RB: Brandon Boria (2023) | Cherokee</strong>
Boria averaged over eight yards per carry this season. He rushed for 874 yards and 10 touchdowns while showing exceptional vision and instincts in the backfield.
<strong>RB: [player_tooltip player_id="27898" first="Shakhi" last="Carson"] (2021) | West Orange</strong>
Carson is another back who scored 10 times this season and was difficult to take down. The workload was high given his dual-threat abilities.
<strong>WR: Jaheem Frederick (2021) | Atlantic City</strong>
Frederick was a difficult cover this season. He totaled 29 catches for 649 yards and six touchdowns. He was an excellent route runner who knew how to create separation.
<strong>WR: Zach Browne (2021) | Toms River North</strong>
The duo of Browne and [player_tooltip player_id="27936" first="Jake" last="Kazanowsky"] led Toms River North this season. Browne has strong hands and the ability to go up over a defender and make a play.
<strong>OL: Andrew Taddeo (2021), Ridge | Nik Bruno (2021), Williamstown | [player_tooltip player_id="27894" first="Josh" last="Toner"] (2021), Cherokee | [player_tooltip player_id="27912" first="Jaden" last="Allen"] (2021), Washington Township | Thomas Gangi (2021), Livingston</strong>
This offensive line might be the best of all groups. It begins with Toner. The James Madison product has incredible size and footwork which helps him gain an advantage. Allen was a tight end selection. At 6’2, Allen was a difficult cover and was able to create matchup problems. Taddeo and Bruno were staples in the run game for their teams while Gangi excelled in pass protection.
<strong>UTIL: Sean Levonaitis (2021) | Hillsborough</strong>
Levonaitis was one of the most underrated players in the state. The Hillsborough back was the workhorse of the offense and showed an ability to handle the workload.
<strong>UTIL: [player_tooltip player_id="27915" first="Zahir" last="Abdus-Salaam"] (2021) | Union City</strong>
Salaam rushed for 100 or more yards in all but one game this season. It was capped off in the season-finale with 34 carries for 223 yards and three touchdowns in a 23-22 victory over Hudson Catholic.
<strong>UTIL: [player_tooltip player_id="27959" first="Keon" last="Sabb"] (2022) | Williamstown</strong>
Sabb is the top ranked prospect in the Class of 2022 in New Jersey and 22nd in the nation. He has big-time offers from programs like Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn State, and Texas A&M. This is just to name a few and more will come. Sabb is a defensive back prospect with incredible size and length.
<strong>K: Jai Patel (2022) | South Brunswick</strong>
South Brunswick had trust in their kicker this season. He did not miss an extra point this season while nailing seven of his eight field goal attempts, including a season-high 40 yarder in the season opener.
