Group 4 is next on our list. These offensive players dominated from Week 1 and were selected First-Team.
QB: Matt Garraty (2021) | Phillipsburg
Garraty was extremely efficient and careful during his senior year. He turned the ball over just twice and threw for 14 touchdowns. Garraty went for 200 or more yards three times while leading an impressive Phillipsburg offense.
RB: Joe Barsky (2021) | Colts Neck
Barsky had a nose for the end zone for Colts Neck. He scored 20 touchdowns as a senior in just seven games. This included a five-touchdown performance against Freehold Township. Barksy had incredible breakaway speed and awareness from the backfield.
RB: Ali Lee (2021) | Woodbridge
Lee rushed for 1,161 yards and 14 touchdowns in the Woodbridge backfield. He showed his ability to be a dual-threat running back. He had great hands which made him valuable in many ways on the field.
WR: Jake Schneider (2021) | Ocean City
Schneider finished with four or more catches in all but one game as a senior. He logged 577 yards and seven touchdowns. Ocean City liked to get the ball to their big-time receiver whenever they could.
WR: AJ McKay (2021) | Mount Olive
McKay was about as reliable a receiver as there was in the state. This was obvious during a nine-catch, 206-yard performance in Week 2 against Morris Knolls. McKay was a difficult cover week in and week out.
OL: [player_tooltip player_id="27953" first="Jordan" last="Harris"] (2021), Woodbridge | Mason Cosenzo (2021), Mount Olive | Dillon Sheehan (2021), Randolph | Spencer Peck (2021), North Hunterdon | [player_tooltip player_id="27931" first="Johnny" last="Scibilia"] (2021) | Hammonton
Harris was one of the best offensive lineman in the state and he showed that from the first week of the season. Cosenzo and Sheehan balanced their rushing attakcs while Peck and Scibilia used strength to gain control of oncoming defenders.
UTIL: Montez Boswell (2021) | Orange
Boswell was a utility selection but was right up there with any back in the state. He finished with 1,370 yards and 21 touchdowns on the ground in 2020.
UTIL: Sha’Kim Shuler (2021) | Freehold Boro
Shuler was the offense for Freehold Boro this season. As a passer, he finished with 1,155 yards and eight touchdowns. He was a dual-threat using his speed to gain 1,206 yards and 15 touchdowns.
UTIL: [player_tooltip player_id="27955" first="Matt" last="Quetel"] (2021) | Phillipsburg
Quetel carried the ball in bulk this season and it led to 12 touchdowns for Phillipsburg. He was a runner that was difficult to bring down in the open field.
K: Andrew Haas (2021) | Northern Highlands
