De Smet had a tremendous season last year! Making it to the State Championship Game but falling short they finished with a 6-1 record. Next year is looking to be a MOVIE for De Smet as they have added big time upcoming quarterback <strong>Colt Michael</strong>.
<strong><img class=" wp-image-97278 aligncenter" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/01/cm-300x300.jpg" alt="" width="262" height="262" />Colt Michael</strong> is a young quarterback who will be entering his Junior season next year for De Smet. Colt will no longer be in the shadow of his older brother Ty Michael out of O’Fallon, Illinois who is committed to Mckendree University. He has started his own legacy now taking his talents too De Smet. Colt has a tremendous work ethic and has the drive to make sure he is [player_tooltip player_id="96658" first="A" last="b"]etter version of himself as well as whoever steps in front of him. His accuracy is no doubt his strongest skill amongst his abilities at the quarterback position. Colt plans to come to De Smet and take on a leadership role. He aspires to be a player who his teammates can count on to make plays in key moments. He wants his teammates and coaches to know he has huge respect for them all and is an open ear to any constructive criticism on what needs to be done by him for the better of the team. <strong>Colt Michael</strong> is continuing to elevate his game with an emphasis on his quarterback mechanics as well as arm strength. Last season Colt was named OTHS Scholar and a captain for the O’Fallon, Illinois football team.
De Smet is losing over 15 Seniors and a lot of them played in key roles for the Spartans! It is going to be extremely exciting to see what the Spartans have in store for us next year with the former Blue & Gold O’Fallon, Panther, <strong>Colt Michael</strong> dressing up in the new Maroon and White.
