To be fair, we can’t blame them either, especially due to the fact that players within this class were only freshman in high school last season. Regardless, moving forward, some of these kids will begin to become the face of plenty of high school football programs within the state of Georgia, and some of them will even go on to play college football. Because we understand that most of the prospects are a unheard of at this time, we have decided to list a few prospects from the QB position for you to get to know early on, who you can cheer for and follow for the next few years. Check them out below.
Reece Fountain- Rome
Perhaps our favorite passer on this list, Reece Fountain has plenty of upside as a 2024 prospect at the QB position. During his freshman season, while he is a bit raw in some areas, he showed that he can operate at an efficient rate as a passer and that he can win games with his arm During his first season, he started 7 games, and showed that he has a good release, decent arm strength, and that he can push the downfield as needed. His accuracy on deep and intermediate routes will help him a ton moving forward, as well as his ability fit the ball in tight windows. While he does stare receivers down at times, we feel this is due to his age. As he progresses in high school, look for him to continue to develop, especially with the consistency in his mechanics, and the rise and fall in his shoulders when he attempts to keep them square. College coaches will only begin to salivate over his potential as he sees more success.

Kameron Davis- Dougherty
When watching tape on Davis, it is evident that while he is a bit of an upright runner, he finds ways to make plays on the ground. With this, he is also a bit twitchy and shifty with the ball in his hands, making him very hard to stop. While we think he can certainly get better at how he moves the pocket, we also want to see him continue to use his mobility to his strength. When acting as a passer, Davis shows that he has good ball placement, and that he can drive the football very well when shifting weight. He also has the ability to be accurate and have good touch on the football. As he develops as a more polished player in the coming years, it will be exciting to see what he can do with his ability.
Jeremy Hecklinski- Walton
Hecklinski, who already has a decent length, and height for a high school QB displayed some positive traits in his freshman year. When he received playing time, he showed to have a quick release and that he could throw with good touch. This is especially important due to the different kinds of passes he has to throw as a QB at the high school level of play. Along with this, there was plenty of upside in Hecklinski’s throwing motion and mechanics, as well as his composure in the pocket. Moving forward, he will be a fun QB to track, especially as he develops in his ability to play consistently, and move his feet even better in the pocket.
Taeo Todd- Troup County
When watching Todd’s freshman tape, there are a ton of traits that jump off of the screen that can get football junkies excited about his future within high school football. Todd not only has good burst, quickness, and mobility, but he can also maneuver the pocket very well. This allows him to get out of trouble, and even make big time plays when needed as well. As a passer, Todd has decent ball placement, and arm strength. His release is very short and quick, similar to players such as Lamar Jackson. His vision of the field as a passer also contributes to his success, and his ability to fit the ball in tight windows almost always ends up in positive gains for his team. Look for him to rack up offers as the years go by.
