You can check out the complete rankings RIGHT HERE. Right now, we're taking a look and putting a spotlight on five wide receivers who find themselves in the rankings. The 2023 class of WRs is loaded as we have 10 currently ranked in our top 50 with a handful of guys just outside the top 50 as well. We've been putting out content over the last few days on this 2023 class. For more than just positional breakdowns, you can check out these breakdowns on Newcomers and Stock Risers. Stay dialed into Prep Redzone Oklahoma as we finish breaking down the class of 2023! [player_tooltip player_id="98179" first="Jakeb" last="Snyder"] - Bixby (#45 Overall) The first of two newcomers on this list is [player_tooltip player_id="98179" first="Jakeb" last="Snyder"]. He is not the biggest or strongest WR on the field at any given time, but this kid just knows how to win and get open. He seems to have a good understanding of how to leverage defenders when running routes and rarely drops a pass that comes his way. Outside of his route running and hands, he does not have many traits that are elite but he makes up for that by being well-rounded in all other facets of the game, including on defense where he played all over the secondary in 2020. With all the weapons on Bixby's offense, there were only so many targets to go around, but Snyder still made his presence felt on the biggest stages all throughout 2020. [player_tooltip player_id="98178" first="Ty" last="Walls"] - Jenks (#44 Overall) The second newcomer on this list is a guy that I almost missed out on completely and man would that have been a mistake. Similar to Bixby, Jenks had a pretty loaded roster on offense so Ty's season went a little under the radar in 2020, but when you turn on the film you immediately see that he has a chance to be special. Walls has a lightning-quick release off the line and pairs that with excellent route running to create lots of separation from DBs at a very high level. In addition to his skills as a route runner, Walls is as tough as they come at the WR position. Very seldom did he go down in one on one situations and he never shies away from laying the wood on DBs in the run game. There's a lot to like about Ty's game and he is only getting started, look out for a breakout season from him in 2021. [player_tooltip player_id="45651" first="Cole" last="Adams"] - Owasso (#15 Overall) Unlike Jakeb and Ty, Cole had the benefit of being one of the top targets for Owasso in 2020, and to put it simply, he rose to the occasion week in and week out. He has an excellent release similar to Ty that allowed him to fly behind DBs before they really knew what hit them, but there were two traits of his that impressed me the most. One was his versatility as Owasso used him all over the field on offense: in the slot, out wide, in the backfield as an RB, and as a Wildcat QB on occasion. The second was his ability to track the deep ball, he made it look so effortless and he definitely did not look like a Sophomore doing so. Cole recently received his first D1 offer from Kansas State and we believe that is just the first of many to come his way this off-season. [player_tooltip player_id="47959" first="Micah" last="Tease"] - Booker T Washington (#8 Overall) 2020 was a bit of a lost season for Booker T as they came in with a lot of young talent but were unfortunately plagued with injuries all throughout the year. Regardless of that, they still had a few guys like [player_tooltip player_id="47959" first="Micah" last="Tease"] step up in a big way. Micah has true homerun capabilites every time he touches the ball and is as close to being the total package as anyone on this list. Whether it was on deep balls, crossers, screens, YAC after short routes, or jump balls in the end zone, Micah was a dynamic playmaker anytime the ball was thrown his way. With his speed and versatility, and with all the weapons Booker T will get back in 2021, the sky is the limit for Micah and this team. [player_tooltip player_id="55156" first="Luke" last="Hasz"] - Bixby (#4 Overall) The final and top WR on this list is one of the biggest risers in our rankings and he possibly has one of the highest ceilings of any 2023 prospect. Luke decided to give football a try this year after mainly playing Basketball to this point and it turned out to be a great decision. He was one of the top targets for Bixby and was a monster on deep balls, jump balls, and as a blocker in the run game. We have been saying for a while that he most likely switches to TE at the next level because of his size and strength, but after I watched all of his tape from this season I'm starting to rethink that a little. As the season went on he started to look like more of a true WR rather than just a superior athlete. He has great hands and he has the ability to separate from DBs with his strength alone but then you add his speed, which is great for his size, and he is truly one of the scarier matchups in the whole state for opposing defenses. Luke is just starting to approach his full potential, yet he has already received offers from the likes of OU, OSU, and Kansas State. We could have a superstar in the making with this one.
