With 10 players inside the Prep Red Zone Class of 2022 state rankings top 100 and another 15 in the bottom half, the Central Savannah River Area is chock full of talent.
It includes eight-man football players, those in the SCHSL’s Class 4A, and several points in between. After a relative dip in the area’s recruiting scene this year, the CSRA is going to be a boon for future college players next December and February.

SCHOOL: Silver Bluff
POSITION: Offensive lineman
ANALYSIS: The 6-foot-3, 280-pound center graded out at 80 percent in 2020. And that came while not having one bad snap with his quarterback either under center or in shotgun formations.

SCHOOL: Bamberg-Ehrhardt
POSITION: Linebacker
ANALYSIS: Bias is a sure-fire tackler who uses his speed to close gaps in a hurry. He also uses those same traits as an occasional edge rusher who wreaks havoc in the backfield.
[player_tooltip player_id="91209" first="Charquez" last="Booker"]
SCHOOL: Strom Thurmond
POSITION: Running back
ANALYSIS: In just six games in this pass-first offense, Booker managed to rush for a team-best 378 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging 5.2 yards per carry.

SCHOOL: Aiken
POSITION: Defensive back
ANALYSIS: Talbert is a safety who seems to understand angles better than most high school players. It allows him to pick off passes, break up others and make open-field tackles.

SCHOOL: Fox Creek
POSITION: Defensive back
ANALYSIS: At 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, Hudson could still go either way in the defensive backfield in terms of position. His senior year should shed some light on that debate.
