2021 DBs: 16 of PrepRedzoneMOs ranked DBs you should know.

2020 was a crazy year for everyone that is without a doubt. No one, however, had it tougher than these seniors of 2021. The recruiting scene was out of the ordinary, to say the least. We feel here at Prep Redzone that it is our duty to help bring exposure to some of the well-deserved athletes who may not have been given a fair shot at an entire season this year. We hope to bring them exposure, as they did not get to showcase their talents as much as they should have been able to this past season due to COVID. He plays on Offense at halfback, Defense at DB, and is used as a return man. This guy can do it all, he plays well on both sides of the ball. We have listed him at DB however, I think he could fit in on any team looking to add a good utility player to their roster. He shows flashes of speed and quickness, has great hands, and can also make defenders miss in the open field  His hand's skills translate to the defensive side of the ball where he is able to make big plays happen. Christopher can press the line of scrimmage and covers well one on one. He can look back and retrieve the ball and catch it at the apex on defense as well on offense. Dual- sport athlete, plays basketball as well as football. Hybrid-type of DB, who can drop back in coverage man to a man well and one who can also play the run. He shows the ability to press well at the LOS and is very physical with his hands. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="37423" first="Jericho" last="Farris"]  - Cassville High School</span> <hr /> Good motor on defense, he reads plays well. Also, he is a good utility player and can be used at both runningback and at safety. He is a hard-hitting DB with tremendous athleticism and speed. He is good in pass coverage, he can play zone well and gets his hands on the ball to knock them down. Average, height DB at 6 foot 180 ILBs, Gus was the 2019 1st team All-Conference DB of the year. had 80 total tackles. 3 TFLs. 3 INTs, 4 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble. Plays great at Free Saftey and at covering the entire field. In passing situations he reads the QBs eyes well and can break up passes intended for near-by receivers. He covers well, he sho2ws the ability to jump in front of passes and make INTS or pass breakups happen. Runs a 4.7 40 yard dash but plays faster on the field come game time. His game-time speed is one of the best on the list. He can press the line of scrimmage and has great situational awareness. This DB could be a great addition to the locker room for any division II or III university. &nbsp; <span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="37274" first="Darius" last="Johnson"] -<a class="uni-link--implied" href="https://www.hudl.com/team/v2/2675">Belton High School</a></span> <hr /> He can block punts for you and has enough speed to take the ball to the end-zone. He is also great at receiver, he can run dangerous routes that will break some ankles. Tall and lengthy for a DB at 6'1, he looks bigger than that on the field because of his vertical ability and his arm length span. Robert can cover man to man, zone coverage, and can track the ball terrific to make plays. Shows great technique. Drives well on passes thrown in front of him, he knows how to bait the quarterback.
