The review of football players in Western North Carolina continues. The next group of players up for review are the tight ends. Four tight ends made the cut. The players listed are the best in the area:
<strong> #1. [player_tooltip player_id="28483" first="Charlie" last="Browder"], 6’7” 235 – Christ School.</strong> He has good hands and uses his large frame to shield off defender to make the catch. He blocks well and remains in contact with defender until play ends. The University of Central Florida commit continued his high level of play as his team won a State Championship.
<strong>#2. Caleb Southern, 6’2” 210 – North Wilkes HS.</strong> He runs his pass routes well and separates from defender to make the catch. A solid blocker who makes punishing blocks. He is expected to continue to improve as he prepares for the upcoming season. The D2 offers should start to come in for him.
<strong>#3. Alex Lemmens, 6’2” 230 – Hendersonville HS.</strong> Displays great hands, often making one-handed catches. He runs good pass routes and shields off defender to make the catch. He is expected to continue to improve as he prepares for the upcoming season. A solid D2 prospect who should start to receive offers.
<strong>#4. Cole Sparks, 6’0” 190 – Mitchell HS.</strong> He runs solid pass routes and has good hands. Displays ability to gain additional yards after making catch. He is expected to continue to improve as he prepares for the upcoming season. The D3 offers should start to come in for him.
