The early signing period typically revolves more around Power Five prospects than underrated signings, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t any players to get excited about outside of the top few. In fact, there were several under-the-radar signings at several different levels this season. In this article, we’ll talk about a few of our favorite offensive players that might not jump off the page right away.
[player_tooltip player_id="28473" first="Jaden" last="Lindsay"], OL, East Forsythe- Appalachian State
As I planned out this article, the first thing I did was look at our state rankings and the schools next to the names. With the way we rank, it would make sense to see our top players sign with Power Five schools, the next group sign with Group of Five schools and so on and so forth. I ranked Lindsay ahead of nearly 40 Power Five commits. He’s that good. App State got an absolute steal. When he’s a multi-year starter at guard or tackle, feel free to question why he didn’t have more interest from top schools.

Lindsay’s teammate and quarterback is one of the top in the state. Coastal Carolina is having an incredible year, thanks in no small part to former North Carolina high school quarterback Greyson McCall. Is Lyles next? He has the skillset to thrive in Jamey Chadwell’s unique offense and can throw absolute lasers.
[player_tooltip player_id="28572" first="Johncarlos" last="Miller"], TE, Dudley- Elon
Under head coach Tony Trisciani, the Phoenix have recruited well in state. Miller is raw at tight end after moving from tackle but has a great athletic profile and could be special with more experience at the position. Miller decided to stay close to home and that could pay huge dividends for Elon.
[player_tooltip player_id="28568" first="Paul" last="Neel"], RB, Charlotte Catholic- Bucknell
Any time a school can reel in a 2000-yard rusher two days before Signing Day, it’s a win. Neel’s recruitment wasn’t always easy as he didn’t really gain much traction on the trail until later in the year. Neel is incredibly strong, but still possesses breakaway speed. Bucknell picked up a great player.
