As the current senior class is finishing up their 2020 football season, a new senior class in high school football is on the rise. That senior class happens to be the 2022 class, and while there have been plenty of players who have already blossomed from this class, there are almost as much, if not more, who have yet to be discovered. While the Georgia WR class for 2022 is as strong as it could be expected to be, there are also plenty of players who have flown under the radar. Below, we have listed a few prospects who we feel will be worth your attention. Feel free to check them out! [player_tooltip player_id="33970" first="Kenny" last="Odom"]- Savannah County Day Simply put, it is exciting when watching Odom’s tape. To start, he is a very fast receiver, with the ability to take the top off of the defense, and make big time plays. He also shows that he can catch the ball well with his hands, even in double coverage. Because of this, he often times plays outside receiver, but we project him to be an inside guy. Also, despite his smaller size and frame, he allows his feet to help him gain separation, and then allows his burst and explosiveness to do the rest for him. Perhaps he has not received more attention due to his size, but we fully believe his is worth a look to any program looking for a speedy slot receiver. [player_tooltip player_id="33986" first="Braxton" last="Johnson"]- Bainbridge High When watching film on Johnson, one of the first things that comes to mind is that he is always where he needs to be, at the right time. He can catch it and go, and can also run efficient routes that put him in place to catch TD passes, and big first down gains. Johnson catches the ball with his hands, and can be seen to be a developmental player that can be effective however you want him to be. Along with this, Johnson has also shown that he tracks the ball well, and can high point it in double coverage, and box out defenders. As he enters into his last high school season, we would not be shocked if he starts entertaining smaller schools, especially since he is talented enough to play at the next level. [player_tooltip player_id="33980" first="Eli" last="Warrington"]- North Oconee Out of North Oconee, [player_tooltip player_id="33980" first="Eli" last="Warrington"] has shown to be a great weapon for his offense this season. Not only is he quick, but he tracks the ball very well, and catches it very cleanly. He has also shown the ability to make various kinds of catches, including those that require him to look the ball over his shoulder. With this, he has a bit of a twitch to him, that helps him gain space and separate from defenders in his route running. Even though he could be a bit more polished at times, we also feel that for this stage of his playing career, it is enough for him to get by. Look for him to make a leap in progression going into his last season of high school. [player_tooltip player_id="33993" first="Willie" last="Brown"]- Brooks County [player_tooltip player_id="33993" first="Willie" last="Brown"], out of Brooks County, is a WR prospect who carries his weight well and makes it hard for defenders to tackle him when he has the ball in his hands. Brown, who has an upright running style, has also shown that he can run with an explosive burst to him, and gain needed yards on the ground. While he is not the fastest player, he is elusive enough to make a few tacklers miss. Along with this, it should be noted that he has the ability to catch the ball cleanly, which is also shown in his special teams contributions. An area we would like to see brown improve in would be his running style, as well as his raw ability when it comes to his route running.
