Hughes was a good #1 corner for the Rough Riders. He didn’t give much cushion to his opponent, because he didn’t need to, he is quick to turn and run and keep up with his guy. Pretty physical in press coverage and turns his head to find the ball quickly, also has good form in his tackling as well.

Blazevich was also a good #1 guy, has good speed and technique in pass coverage. He lives in his WR’s hip pocket and can keep up step-for-step, very difficult to make a catch. If he did get beat, he had good recovery speed to catch up to his WR. He jams his receiver well at the line and is able to keep up with him the whole route, does not bite on the double-move.

Hudson is a very physical CB, jamming at the line and throwing his pads in to make hard tackles. Also keeps up with his guy step-for-step and breaks up passes with good technique. He contains the ball well and turns it in, wraps up well, after delivering a hit.

Lemer was a ball-hawk at Safety, read the QB well and flowed to the pass quickly. He found himself around the ball in both passing and running situations, he had a lot of forced fumbles and INT’s to get his defense off the field. He is also a good form tackler, usually attacks the ball, but always makes the tackle.
[player_tooltip player_id="56399" first="Tanner" last="Preheim"]- Deuel
Preheim was a lockdown CB, jammed his receiver, got his eyes on the QB while being in his guys hip pocket, and making a play on the ball. He was also a quick reader of the offense and flew around to make a good form tackle. He was not afraid of contact throwing his shoulder in for a big hit on most plays.
