Since taking over at his alma mater, Hawthorne, head coach Cornelius Ingram has been building this program into a state contender.
Last Friday night, Ingram and the Hornets stung three-time defending state 1A champion Madison County, 18-14, and will not head to Tallahassee to take on unbeaten (14-0) Baker.
