Continue ReadingPlaying in the secondary is one of the most difficult positions in football, with all the rules, talented receivers, and ever-changing play styles, so I get excited when I see a player play well in the secondary. Brandon Lussier Jr. is a 5’8″, 155 lb. CB from Bemidji High School, he played the position really well in his senior campaign. He has good technique in pass coverage, good back-pedal, flips his hips quick and stays in position to make a play on the ball. He did well playing in zone coverage, keeping his head on a swivel to take the biggest threat in his zone, in man coverage, he stuck in his receivers hip pocket to make the best play possible. When it came to tackling, he wasn’t flashy looking for the big hit every play, I thought he did well going to wrap up the ball-carrier, he also played the position well, keeping contain and turning everything in. I was able to interview Lussier Jr. on his Senior Season, check it out:
PRZ: Hello Brandon, tell us a little about yourself and how you began playing football.

Lussier Jr.: Ultimately, I was just happy I got to play my senior season, given the situation we are all facing.

Lussier Jr.: I have been contacted by Augsburg and Concordia-Moorhead.
PRZ: Do you have a dream school?
