When we say that it’s always wise to actually watch the student/athletes perform live, it’s for a good reason.
Recruiting has now become so specialized that any and every “stone” is fair game when you happen to be recruiting against some of the elite schools in the nation.
No matter what class the athlete may be in – this is time of year that they will be looking for publicity and exposure.
With the season finished throughout the country, it is now officially the off-season, and with this pandemic still gripping many of us, the camps, combines and 7-on-7 events will still happen in many places, but you can almost guarantee that they will all be watched closely until the vaccine becomes available for all.
The one thing we do during the off-season, is provide information on players and teams that we see LIVE. This Covid-controlled season, we still managed to get in 75 different games – with as many as seven doubleheaders – ensuring that we will see those prospects that fans are asking questions about. It’s always been that way.
While we will run our list for the top players in the classes, there are so many athletes that people just do not see – and from our camp, combine and 7-on-7 visits, we will be able to uncover athletes that many have never heard about.
Also, there are current seniors who didn’t get the looks they deserved – and obviously – the pandemic had everything to do with it.
We hope you enjoy our coverage of all Florida high school football year-round.
THE FREW FILE
NAME: [player_tooltip player_id="50210" first="Kade" last="Frew"]
CLASS: 2022
SCHOOL: Jacksonville Bolles
POSITION: RB
HEIGHT: 5-8
WEIGHT: 180
THE SCOOP: The list is long and impressive of all the opposing coaches and players who are in that line to congratulate this young man and tell him exactly what they think of [player_tooltip player_id="50210" first="Kade" last="Frew"], the Jacksonville Bolles junior running back, who led the Bulldogs to a pair of 4A state runner up finishes – and he still has one year remaining.
But as much as Frew has helped this football team with his over 3,000 total yards and numerous touchdowns with his game-breaking runs and huge plays, he is also [player_tooltip player_id="50210" first="Kade" last="Frew"] – the scholar. A 4.0 GPA and total involvement in everything possible in the school, and that explains why Ivy League schools have entered the conversation as well.
Remember, he may not be the biggest player on the field, but his athletic ability and football IQ give him his own STAR RANKING, and that is one that very few achieve.
