Four star quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="25029" first="Jake" last="Garcia"] of Grayson High in Loganville, GA. announced on Twitter that he is backing off his verbal commitment from USC.
Garcia committed to USC in September of 2019, when he was playing at Narbonne of Harbor City, CA. Since then, he has transferred to La Habra, CA. Valdosta, GA. and Grayson.
"I want to thank [Clay] Helton, [Graham] Harrell and [Seth] Doege and the USC coaching staff for the opportunity to play at the next level. However, after many discussions with my family and careful consideration, I am de-committing from USC," Garcia wrote on Twitter. "Doing so will allow me to honestly evaluate my options as the early signing period quickly approaches. No love lost for the USC family."

USC has been heavily recruiting four star quarterback <strong>Jaxson Dart</strong> from Utah and already has a commitment from [player_tooltip player_id="25028" first="Miller" last="Moss"], a quarterback from Alemany, CA.
At Narbonne, he completed 70 percent of his passes for 2,301 yards and 25 touchdowns in nine games as a junior. He transferred to La Habra after Narbonne coach Manny Douglas was dismissed. After the California Interscholastic Federation announced that football will be delayed until January, Garcia transferred to Valdosta High to play for prestigious coach Rush Propst.
He led Valdosta to a season-opening win over Warner Robbins and he threw for 332 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Valdosta later had to forfeit the game due to Garcia being ruled ineligible by the Georgia High School Association.

Garcia landed at Grayson High and has played four games, tallying 690 yards with eight touchdowns to go against just one interception.
According to multiple recruiting analysts, Miami is the heavy favorite to land Garcia. Other schools have been in contact with him, including Florida State and Arkansas.
Grayson plays in the second round of the AAAAAAA state playoffs on Friday. They are expected to keep winning and possibly play on Dec. 30. Garcia is planning to enroll early at the college of his choice in January.
