The initial Kansas Prep Redzone player ranking for the Class of 2022 went 100 players deep. Here is a preview of some of the top offensive linemen in that class.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="35665" first="Joe" last="Otting"], 6’4”, 260, Hayden (Ranked No.6)</strong> – Hayden was a talented team in 2020 and Ottig blocked for multiple offensive weapons. Hayden linemen are always sound in their technique and Ottig falls into that category. The Wildcat blocker will get looks from Division I football programs.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="35644" first="Levi" last="Cooley"], 6’4”, 265, Basehor Linwood (Ranked No. 10)</strong> – Cooley is a strong young man with excellent footwork. Basehor Linwood always has talented offensive players and that helps lineman get looked at that could otherwise fall through the cracks. That won’t happen to the six-foot-four Cooley who will receive a basket full of scouting materials.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="35650" first="Jacob" last="Lamb"], 6’3”, 240, Wichita Northwest (Ranked No. 25) </strong>– Wichita Northwest had an explosive offense in 2020 and is a program that molds college-level talent. Lamb is a quick lineman who will have plenty of college coaches watching his highlight films.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="87684" first="Dylan" last="Birge"], 6’5”, 205, Olathe West (Ranked No. 26)</strong> – The year 2020 is one that all Olathe public schools wills want to forget. Many of them lost games due to COVID cancellations. Birge is one of many athletes who will hope for a return to normal in 2021. He will have plenty of time to improve his blocking skills.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="87681" first="Camden" last="Beebe"], 6’3”, 290, Piper (Ranked No. 33)</strong> – Beebe is one of two offensive linemen from Piper High School to make the Top 100 player rankings list. Beebe is a physical specimen and the rawest talent of these top five linemen. If he hits the weight room and continues to work hard he could move up the list.
