On a team that advanced to the 8A state finals, the Kissimmee Osceola Kowboys had the chance to showcase several young players who will be part of this team for a number of years to come.
Losing to Sanford Seminole was tough – because the two schools are less than 50 miles from one another. But in that loss to the Seminoles, veteran head coach Doug Nichols and his team struck gold with three sophomore defensive prospects.
All three have had a say in what went on during this crazy Covid season where staying safe was key.
Throughout the season several prospects elevated their game, but it was the effort of outside linebacker Anthony Famularo, defensive end Derrick LeBlanc and defensive tackle John Walker that stole the spotlight – and every college coach who watched film, was tuned in to the entire team, but most importantly, this trio.
Today, as we are now in the off-season, we will continue to showcase and spotlight football talent across the state of Florida.
Anthony Famularo Jr., OLB, 6-0, 220. One of the up-and-coming big-time football talents in the state of Florida.
Very few players can make plays and fill up a stat sheet like this very active football player who will definitely be among the best for 2023.

Derrick LeBlanc, DE, 6-5, 245. As soon as you see him – you are automatically sold by his size. Once you watch him play, you are sold.
This is someone who is still learning to play the position – and while he is raw in many things he does, within two years, there will be few who will bring as much to the game as this gifted athlete.

John Walker, DT, 6-3, 285. There is no secret that the toughest position to play on the football field – at an early age – is on the line.
But if you watch this impressive football talent perform, you already know that the sky is indeed the limit. Very athletic and talented. As he gets bigger and stronger, you will see him pull away from the rest!
