Some hit the gym, some work on rural Kansas farms, others it is just in their genes.
Here is a look at a few outside the top 100 linemen who have yet to commit.
Brock Pedruzzi, 6’3”, 235, Bishop Carroll – Pedruzzi is a mountain of a tackle and a legit pass blacker. He helped protect the Bishop Carroll ball carriers on a Golden Eagles squad that finished 8-3 and reached the Class 6A State Semifinals. Pedruzzi has a solid GPA and scored a 21 on his ACT. He has two offers, one from an NAIA program and one from a JUCO school.
Robbie Malcom Robbie Malcom 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL Topeka West | 2021 State KS , 6’4”, 280, Topeka West– Topeka West has not had much success on the gridiron in terms of wins and losses, but they have a big lineman worth a look. Malcolm is a powerful young man with good footwork. Malcom currently has one out-of-state offer and multiple JUCO offers from Kansas programs.
Elijah Aouad, 6’0”, 170, Andale — Aouad is a bit undersized for the line, but he is really quick. He would be best suited as a pulling guard or a pass-rushing defensive end. Aouad had a solid season for an undefeated Indians team that won the Kansas Class 3A State Championship. The Andale senior is looking for his first college offer and projects as an NAIA or JUCO level prospect.
Setu Toala, 6’2”, 280, Junction City – Toala is a big tackle, who can bull people over or pass block. The Blue Jays had an explosive offense and part of that success came from Toala’s blocking. The Junction City senior also works hard in the classroom as he owns a 3.8 GPA.
Sterling Harp, 5’9”, 240, Southeast of Saline – Harp reminds me of old-time football lineman – squatty and close to the ground. This young man is extremely strong and helped protect a pair of solid offensive weapons for the Trojans. Harp plays on winning teams and understands the sacrifices lineman have to make. He was a Class 3A all state-selection and would fit in well on a KCAC, Heart of America, or Jayhawk league program. He currently has two college offers including one out-of-state offer.
