Class of 2023: Player Rankings Update

Prep Redzone Kansas has updated the player rankings for the Class of 2023 Here is a look at the five players who found their way at the top of the rankings. Some had big 2020 seasons and others are already getting offers from Division I programs. RB, Dylan Edwards Dylan Edwards 5'9" | 165 lbs | RB Derby | 2023 State KS , 5’8”, 155, Derby (Ranked No. 1) – Edwards is an elusive and explosive running back. Comparisons are always fun and dangerous to make but think of a very young Darren Sproles, Barry Sanders, and Alvin Kumara. He can carry and catch the ball. He also loved finding the end zone. The Derby Panther rushed for 1,800-plus yards and had 25 rushing touchdowns in 2020. RB, John Randle II John Randle II 6'0" | 180 lbs | RB Wichita Heights | 2023 State KS , 6’0”, 170, Wichita Heights (Ranked No. 2) – Randle was ranked Number 1 when the preseason rankings were released. He had multiple Division I offers including schools from the Big 10 and Big 12.  Randle rushed for 1,009 yards and rushed for 10 touchdowns. ATH, Daeh McCullough Daeh McCullough 6'0" | 165 lbs | ATH Blue Valley North | 2023 KS , 6’0”, 165, Blue Valley North (Ranked No. 3) – McCullough will be an interesting player to follow. He can play multiple positions and is being recruited by multiple schools. He has offers from at least four Division I schools including an SEC program. QB, Avery Johnson Avery Johnson 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Maize | 2023 State KS , 6’2”, 160, Maize (Ranked No. 4) – Coming in ranked at No. 4, Johnson could easily be ranked No. 1. He is a dual threat quarterback with a big arm. He finished his sophomore season with 2,109 yards pass and 25 touchdowns through the air. Johnson also rushed for 10 touchdowns and has college offers from two Big 12 schools. QB, Wesley Fair Wesley Fair 6'2" | 185 lbs | ATH Wichita Collegiate | 2023 State KS , 6’2”, 175, Wichita Collegiate (Ranked No. 5) – Fair is a gifted athlete. The question in Fair’s recruitment will be where he plays and had what position because he will be a college athlete. He can play quarterback, running back, or wideout. He will be a leader for Wichita Collegiate for two more seasons and how far he takes the Falcons in the postseason the next two seasons will play a large role in his recruitment. Rounding out the Top 10 are OL, Joe Otting Joe Otting 6'4" | 270 lbs | OL Hayden Catholic | 2023 State KS , Hayden; WR, Jordan Hamm Jordan Hamm 6'6" | 210 lbs | WR Eudora | 2023 KS , Eudora; OL, Tyler Crowell Tyler Crowell 6'4" | 215 lbs | DL Olathe East | 2023 KS , Olathe West; TE, Will Anciaux Will Anciaux 6'6" | 225 lbs | TE Kapaun Mt. Carmel | 2023 State KS , Kapaun Mt. Carmel; and OL, Levi Cooley Levi Cooley 6'4" | 300 lbs | OL Basehor-Linwood | 2023 State KS , Basehor Linwood.
