Baker is loaded with talent on both sides of the ball, today we’re going to Spotlight five players that college coaches from all levels will be interested in watching. Baker’s talent was on display with playoff wins against Port St. Joe (39-7), Jay (35-0), Freeport (34-22), Vernon (7-6) and Sneads (41-7).
Joe Brunson RB
5’11 185lbs
Brunson had another outstanding season rushing for 2460 yards and 27 touchdowns; he’s averaging over 189 yards a game rushing! He is also an outstanding defensive back chipping in with 51 tackles and 3 ints on the season. He has over 4900 yards rushing and 51 tds in his career! This kid is one of the most versatile prospects I have evaluated. He has led Baker County to a 14-0 record and a spot in the Championshipgame this weekend. I am absolutely baffled why he does not have many offers, he’s better than 3/4 of the running backs in this state that are ranked by major recruiting sites. It is absolutely stunning to me that this kid doesn’t have a single offer. He is the epitome of a player that is being under-recruited. He has outstanding vision, shows great patience reading the hole with exceptional cut-back ability, and has the speed to hit the home run. Shows natural hands when catching the ball. Also plays strong safety and is a legit prospect on that side of the football as well. This kid is one of the best football players I have seen on film this season. Whatever coach is smart enough to jump on him first will be getting an absolute steal!

Kayleb Wagner RB c/o 23
6’1 200lbs
Wagner has had an outstanding sophomore season and forms a devastating one-two punch rushing attack with Brunson. Wagner rushed for 1251 yards and 16 touchdowns this season while averaging over 10 yards per carry! He is a smooth runner that dances in and out of the hole with terrific feet, shows very good vision and the ability to hit the hole with burst and speed. He has great size already for sophomore and does a very good job using it blocking, he is a terrific prospect that will only get better.

Seth Baksa FB/LB
5’9 170lbs
Baksa is yet another piece of a rushing attack (353 yards per game) that just grinds opponents down, he has rushed for 511 yards and 3 touchdowns this season. He’s equally as impressive on defense with 91 tackles, four sacks, 3 ints and 12 QB Hurries from his linebacker position. He’s a very tough player that despite his size has some pop when he hits you, he has the athleticism to be able to play safety at the next level. Very good small school prospect.

Ethan Edge TE/LB c/o 22
6’2 220lbs
Edge is a very good athlete that’s also a good baseball player. He’s a nice sized junior tight end prospect that has seven catches for 131 yards and has chipped in on defense with 74 tackles 3 sacks and 14 tackles for loss. Tight end prospects are at a premium these days and he’s definitely someone that colleges should be keeping an eye on. He has good size for the position and is already an above-average blocker, and has good athleticism. He’s also a good linebacker prospect that does a good job diagnosing plays and getting to the ball, shows the ability to scrape and play sideline-to-sideline.

Jared Raybon OL/DL c/o 22
5’11 210lbs
Raybon I’ve had a very good season on the defensive side of the ball, he is registered 87 tackles from his defensive end position. He also has eight sacks and 21 tackles for losses! He’s extremely quick off the ball and gets instant penetration, does a good job using his hands to shed blocks to get to the ball carrier, and shows very good hustle on every play. I just can’t say enough about how good he is using his hands to get off of blocks and make plays, it’s some of the best I’ve seen this season.
