With the early signing period coming to a close, here’s a deeper look into some of the top uncommitted Quarterbacks in the 2021 class. [player_tooltip player_id="87236" first="Justin" last="Brennan"], Dual-Threat, 6’0” 195 lbs., Lakes Brennan possesses a good combination of natural athleticism and technical ability as a passer at the QB position. He checks a lot of boxes in terms of arm talent with his plus arm strength and accuracy. He shows a good ability to make throws at all three depths with good velocity and zip off different throwing platforms or on the run. Flashes his strong throwing mechanics and footwork with his quick over the top release and balanced base to get the ball out quickly and accurately. Great pocket presence and overall poise, shows a good ability to move and manipulate the pocket while going through his progression with his eyes downfield never appearing rushed or panicked. He’s a good athlete that can extend plays and isn’t afraid to pull it down and move the chains with his legs. Currently holds offers from Culver-Stockton, Montana State-Northern, Southwest Minnesota State, and Trinity International. [player_tooltip player_id="87197" first="Daniel" last="Buxton"], Pro-Style, 6’4” 190 lbs., Skyline Strong pro-style QB with a good, long frame at 6’4” 190 lbs. and is a smooth and natural passer. Shows good command of the position and his offense with his ability to spot advantages and go through his progression. Possesses good footwork and mechanics in the pocket with a smooth over the top delivery that looks effortless as the ball comes out. He does a good job getting the ball out quickly, landing and delivering on time with accuracy and velocity. Shows good composure and mobility under pressure, understands when to step up or escape while keeping his eyes downfield for an open target. Good ability to throw on the run and make off platform throws. He’s looking to build on his early offer from Nevada. [player_tooltip player_id="87215" first="Tanner" last="Jellison"], Pro-Style, 6’5” 185 lbs., Lake Stevens Jellison has picked up two offers, San Diego and Montana State-Northern, since a monster junior season where he threw for over 3,000 yards and 38 touchdowns while completing almost 75% of his passes. He has ideal size and length for the position at 6’5” 185 lbs. He’s efficient and precise with his footwork, movement, and throwing motion which allows him to consistently deliver accurate passes. Excels stretching the field vertically and pushing the ball down field with good trajectory, touch, and accuracy. Shows a good ability to mix up velocity and throw a catchable ball to his receivers allowing them to run after the catch. He stands tall in the pocket with good poise and demonstrates good awareness when feeling/avoiding pressure. He’s a sneaky and deceptive athlete when he needs to use his legs to make a play. Great upside and potential for the college level. [player_tooltip player_id="87217" first="Andrew" last="Sirmon"], Pro-Style, 6’0” 190 lbs., Bothell The younger brother of University of Washington QB Jacob Sirmon. He has a great ability to improvise and create something out of nothing when protection breaks down whether that be with his arm or legs. Shows good instincts and anticipation to throw his targets open or fit it in a tight/closing window. Displays good arm strength and accuracy with his ability to hit his spots all over the field including deep out breaking and vertical routes. High football IQ and smart decision maker, love to see him go through his progression working through his reads and rarely forcing the ball into coverage. He’s a good all-around football player with natural playmaking ability. Offers include Georgetown and Montana State-Northern thus far. [player_tooltip player_id="87221" first="JJ" last="Woodin"], Pro-Style, 6’2” 195 lbs., Evergreen Wooding has been a varsity starter since his freshman year and has shown continuous improvement year over year. He possesses all the physical tools colleges look for in a signal caller standing at 6’4” 195 lbs. with plus arm talent and smooth athleticism to match. He’s a consistent passer with strong fundamentals and mechanics that allow him to be an accurate passer from the pocket or on the run. He’s got a quick release and a fluid fully extended throwing motion, the ball gets out fast with good velocity on short/intermediate routes and good trajectory on deep balls. Throughout his extensive game experience he has built up strong intangibles and leadership qualities under pressure situations. He has performed extremely well at offseason camps including being name Co-QB MVP at the National Preps Showcase in October.
