There are so many worthy players who deserve recognition and more articles will be coming soon about these seniors who fought through one of the craziest seasons ever in high school football. Some of these players were able to play a full schedule while others lost games to COVID rules. As a former player and scout, but as a coach and a father, thank you all for battling each and every week.
QB [player_tooltip player_id="37297" first="Gabe" last="Serri"], St. Dominic’s--With his junior year cut short due to injury, Serri came back stronger as a senior and had a season for the ages.
QB [player_tooltip player_id="37191" first="Kaden" last="McMullen"], Living Word Christian--McMullen continues to grow as a player and will have a chance to compete as a starter at Alabama A & M.
QB [player_tooltip player_id="37208" first="AJ" last="Snow"], Orchard Farms--One of the most incredible athletes in the state, Snow can run, pass and is a stud on defense. Will play quickly at Navy next season.
RB [player_tooltip player_id="37222" first="Christopher" last="Kreh"], Marquette--If you followed Prep Redzone this season, you know my love for Kreh. The powerhouse back is electric and a workhorse. Kreh is headed off to tote the rock at the University of Missouri.
RB [player_tooltip player_id="37188" first="Amar" last="Johnson"], Chaminade--Johnson can do it all. He is tough as nails, smooth as silk and glides with ease with the football in his hands. South Dakota State is getting a dynamic player.
RB Dylan Schnitzler, Jefferson R-7--Nothing about the senior running back stand out physically, but give him the football and watch out. As fun as a player to watch as I have seen.
RB [player_tooltip player_id="37166" first="Rico" last="Barfield"], DeSmet Jesuit--The Spartans have three D-1 RBs but Barfield was a steady presence all season long. Ball State is getting a DOG!
WR [player_tooltip player_id="37160" first="Chevy" last="Brenson"], CBC--The best WR in the state is still the best WR in the state. A match up nightmare, he made his teammates better by demanding double coverage. Illinois commit.
WR [player_tooltip player_id="37206" first="Pernell" last="Garner"], Lafayette--One of the fastest players in the St. Louis area, Garner’s improved hands and route running made for a spectacular senior season.
WR [player_tooltip player_id="37275" first="Myles" last="Kee"], Priory--While not the biggest player on the field, Kee might be the most reliable. Using quick hands and intelligent route running, Kee was ALWAYS open.
TE [player_tooltip player_id="37194" first="Elijah" last="Edmonds"], Fort Zumwalt South--Edmonds can be listed at so many positions but a smart college program offers him, bulks him up and gets an all-conference TE.
OL [player_tooltip player_id="37175" first="Hutson" last="Lillibridge"], DeSmet Jesuit--Moved to LT his senior season and played like the captain he is. Dominated DLs in 2020. Tulane commit.
OL [player_tooltip player_id="37262" first="Raphael" last="Sowah"], MICDS--A massive young man, some college program is going to get a heck of player. Sowah was good as a junior but came into his own as a senior.
OL [player_tooltip player_id="37263" first="Luke" last="Strassner"], Fort Zumwalt West--The University of Central Missouri is getting an athletic OL who plays excellent in space.
OL Quixote McBroom, St. Mary’s--McBroom opened up holes for all the athletes on the St. Mary’s roster. The huge player is a mountain mover who will excel in college.
OL Ethan Deal, Jefferson R-7--Deal really stepped up his game his senior season and was the driving force behind Jefferson’s powerful run game.
