Referenced below are some of Oregon’s top athletes who have had their stocks jump over the last 2-3 months. Expect to hear much more about these kids as it relates to offers and media exposure in the coming weeks. [player_tooltip player_id="28720" first="Blake" last="DeBisschop"] 6-4 190 QB West Linn- I’ve probably said it 46 times in the last two months. Once DeBisschop has 2-4 games worth of game film, look for multiple D1’s to offer. He is legit. [player_tooltip player_id="28839" first="Jordan" last="King"] 6-3 210 WR/OLB 22’ Central Catholic- When all is said and done I could see King being a 20+ offer D1 athlete. He is that good. Separate from being a great kid he can play 3-4 different positions at the highest level, and dominate with his size and overall athleticism. [player_tooltip player_id="28715" first="Jeremiah" last="Noga"] 6-3 190 WR Hidden Valley- His film speaks for itself. Runs crisp and precise routes. One of the fastest rising WR’s on the West Coast. Had 18 receptions for 270 yards in last year’s title game. [player_tooltip player_id="28788" first="Slade" last="Shufelt"] 6-2 220 LB 21’ Hillsboro- Probably the fastest rising athlete in the state. The 1st team all-league returner tests off the charts and has all of the intangibles and tools to play D1 ball. [player_tooltip player_id="28717" first="Gavin" last="Haines"] 6-1 200 RB/WLB 21’ West Linn- Everyone is aware of Haines as he should be considered a favorite for Oregon 6A Offensive POY honors. His versatility speaks volumes as he can be a Brady Breeze type athlete on the defensive side of the ball as well. Donald Stephens Jr. 6-0 200 RB 23’ Grant- This kid is the real deal. Watching his film you see an explosive back with god given instincts, who has the potential of being the top player in Oregon for his class. He is that good. Expect him to be a high profile D1 recruit. [player_tooltip player_id="28840" first="Kaden" last="Ludwick"] 6-5 225 OLB/DE 22’ Clackamas- As I have mentioned before you can expect Ludwick to blow up once the season gets underway and things get back to normal. He has the size, speed, genes, and all of the tools that big time D1’s are looking for. [player_tooltip player_id="28842" first="Jacob" last="Newell"] 6-5 220 TE 22’ Thurston- From a national recruiting standpoint Newell’s stock has jumped as much as anyone. The 3* standout can play WR but is incredibly valuable at TE with his big body and overall athleticism. He provides schools with options on the defensive side of the ball. [player_tooltip player_id="28712" first="Bryan" last="Cuthbertson"] 6-1 250 LB 21’ Sherwood- I have talked about the reigning conference player of the year a lot, but for good reason. Credit to Portland St for coming with an early offer. His ridiculous stat line of 158 total tackles and 22 tackles for loss are just a glimpse of what he can do. Mikey Gibson 6-2 190 QB 22’ Canby- You will hear a lot about this kid especially at the 5A level, where the Cougars will be an immediate title contender. Coach Joyce and Faustin Riley both put him in the conversation when talking about current Colorado starting QB Sam Noyer and former Cal Quarterback Kevin Riley. Both guys they have coached. [player_tooltip player_id="28846" first="Cole" last="Prusia"] 6-3 190 ATH 22’ Tualatin- Prusia is incredibly athletic and long. He should be considered one of the top players in Oregon for the 2022 class. His ability at CB speaks to his overall athleticism while having an outstanding off season at WR. [player_tooltip player_id="28841" first="Dondrae" last="Fair"] 6-0 185 QB 22’ Jefferson- Big fan of this kid. Fair is the epitome of a dual threat athlete, as he can beat you with his arm and take over a game with his feet. With all of the talent Coach Lillard has around him Jeff should be the real deal. [player_tooltip player_id="28836" first="Keenan" last="Speer-Johnson"] 6-3 185 WR 22’ Tigard- KSJ is already garnering offers and interest from SEC schools like Kentucky. The 3* recruit will be all everything athlete/QB [player_tooltip player_id="28700" first="Drew" last="Carter"]’s main weapon so he should thrive in the Tigers offense. [player_tooltip player_id="28723" first="Andrew" last="Simpson"] 6-0 170 ATH 21’ Mountainside- Maybe the most underrated player in the state as of right now IMO. Earned 3rd team all-league honors as a Junior, and should have been 1st on top of receiving all-state accolades. He is a D1 kid with added size. [player_tooltip player_id="28759" first="Kaanan" last="Huffman"] 6-4 225 DE/TE 21’ West Linn- Huffman had a breakout National Preps Showcase event where his stock soared. With added exposure and film expect him to be on multiple D1 recruiting boards. [player_tooltip player_id="28845" first="Royce" last="Fasel"] 6-0 200 WLB/RB 22’ Glencoe- The only Sophomore in Oregon to earn all-state honors at the highest classification level (6A). His 1st team all-league honors on both sides of the ball and overall accolades speak to his game.
