Coach head coach Ryan Schneider and Cocoa are ready for tonight’s clash of the unbeatens with rival Rockledge.

There are plenty of impressive match-ups this week across the state of Florida, but this evening’s (7:00) game between unbeaten Cocoa and Rockledge is one that is certainly personal. These two programs have battled for decades – and while this annual game split households who attended both schools, the BBQ Bowl is for bragging rights over the next 365 days.

With Cocoa searching for a 4A state title and the Raiders looking to make up for losing in the first round of the 5A state playoffs last year, all that is on the back burner. This evening, two impressive programs search for Space Coast supremacy! Cocoa’s path to this evening’s game included wins over Melbourne (46-0), Palm Bay Heritage (49-0), Palm Bay (46-0), Palm Bay Bayside (53-8), Viera (36-10) and Eau Gallie (27-13). For former Cocoa standout quarterback Wayne Younger, this evening’s game is always personal. He has been a part of several of these games – and a win over the Tigers would certainly keep this impressive season in the spotlight. The Raiders arrived at 5-0 with wins over Palm Bay (41-0), Melbourne (40-0), Palm Bay Bayside (35-7), Palm Bay Heritage (54-7) and Viera (41-18).
