North Florida football is known for producing big-time prospects and under the radar prospects. North Florida prospects do not get the recognition of the South Florida players, but they’re every bit as good. Year after year they turn out college-level athletes. These players share the spotlight with other players in the area that are higher recruited, but these players in their own right are high-level college prospects and are having a great season this year. Every one of these players is severely under-recruited. At Prep Redzone Florida, our mission is to get players like this promoted and seen!
Joe Brunson RB- Baker County
5’11 185lbs
Brunson is off to another outstanding start the season rushing for 1610 yards and 17 touchdowns through nine games: he’s averaging over 200 yards a game rushing! He is also an outstanding defensive back chipping in with 38 tackles and 3 ints on the season. This kid is one of the most versatile prospects I have evaluated. He has led Baker County to a 9-0 record and one of the top contenders to win state championship in 1A the season. I am absolutely baffled why he does not have many offers, he’s better than 3/4 of the running backs in this state that are ranked by major recruiting sites. It is absolutely stunning to me that this kid doesn’t have a single offer. He is the epitome of a player that is being under-recruited. He has outstanding vision, shows great patience reading the hole with exceptional cut-back ability, and has the speed to hit the home run. Shows natural hands when catching the ball. Also plays strong safety and is a legit prospect on that side of the football as well. This kid is one of the best football players I have seen on film this season. Whatever coach is smart enough to jump on him first will be getting an absolute steal!

Cayson Schjott WR- Freeport
6’0 186lbs
Schjott one of the underrated prospects that I’m proud to have discovered doing this series, he’s been extremely good this season catching 36 passes for 396 yards and four touchdowns; he’s also having a terrific season as defensive back registering 49 tackles, one sack, and a pick. He is a good athlete showing the ability to play the ball in the air, also lines up at wide receiver, and was effective last season in that role. Has a nose for the ball. Plays free safety seems to always be in the right position has a good understanding of routes being ran against him. Has good safety size at 6 ft 186 pounds and runs a 4.72 40-yard dash

Trevor Holtzendorf- Union County c/o 22
5’11 185lbs
Holtzendorf is having a fantastic season so far, registering 73 tackles and averaging 10.4 tackles a game and forcing three fumbles! He has helped lead Union County to a 5-3 record and being in the hunt for the playoffs. He is very explosive and reads and reacts to the ball quickly, he reads his keys extremely fast and explodes to the ball carrier with bad intentions. He has enough speed and athleticism to translate to the safety position at the next level. This kid is a fantastic football player that should be getting looks from small schools.

Tywuan Lee- Hilliard
6’2 200lbs
Lee is the real deal and is also severely under recruited, he has been dominating teams this season rushing for 816 yards and averages 10.5 yards per carry, he also has 3 ints on defense! Lee is a tall and smooth runner showing outstanding balance, agility, and breakaway speed. He’s also used in the passing game; he has good hands and make you miss ability to turn short passes into long touchdowns. Lee is a legit FBS prospect that will be playing college football next fall! He is led Hilliard currently to a 7-0 record and one of the top playoff contenders in the 1A Region. Currently holds three offers from Eastern Kentucky, University of Findlay, and Notre Dame College. He should be getting a lot more offers than what he currently has, he’s going to be a steal for someone at the next level.
