The Johnson Jaguars(7-1) had no answer for running back Carson Green and the Reagan Rattlers now (8-1) on the season. The number 3 Rattlers beat the number 1 Jaguars for the district title. https://twitter.com/BDammone/status/1332446137144512512 Johnson’s offense and quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="60450" first="Ty" last="Reasoner"] looked out of sync from the very beginning and never got things rolling in the first half. Carson Green ran the ball all over the jaguar defense. Marching the Rattlers up and down the field and the jags had no solution. The quarterback for Reagan is a nifty dual-threat running quarterback, who was eluding defenders in the first half and running the ball down the field as well as throwing. He sets up in the pocket well and can deliver the ball with great velocity down field.
The second half kicked off with Johnson coming out hot, moving with a quick up beat tempo, but could unfortunately get into a rhythm or find momentum. The Rattlers took over the ball in the second half and ran it down the jaguar’s throats for another Rattler touchdown to swing the momentum in their favor. Then the jaguars got stuffed on a three and out and the rattlers drive the ball easily down the field for another touchdown by quarterback Britton Moore. Who played lights out in this game and showed amazing talent. Making it (14-45) Reagan with 5:27 left in the third quarter. This quarterback has a bunch of speed and can run down the field in a glimpse of an eye. If you don’t believe me just check out this highlight video. https://twitter.com/YVQBacademy/status/1317634944152293376 QB [player_tooltip player_id="60450" first="Ty" last="Reasoner"] took the jags down and scored a touchdown himself by running one in on the very next drive making it 21-45 jags 3rd quarter. Quarterback Britton Moore however, was having none of it and took the ball for the Rattlers and ran a 50 - yard plus touchdown to crush the jags momentum making it (21-52) Reagan. Johnson had no answer and their defense could not stop the running game of the Rattlers lead by sophomore running back, Carson Green. Who ran all over defenders and made quick cuts, and took the ball up the field with bursting speed. The yards after contact this young man had was just an outstanding, to say the least. One of the most notable players in today’s game. Making Carson our Prep-Redzone MVP of the game. With a final score of (21-52) Reagan beating Johnson. Star Player's: #13 RB - Carson Green Carson had an amazing game racking up a lot of yards on the ground and touchdowns for the rattlers. It’s astonishing to think this runningback is only a sophomore and not anyone’s radar as of yet. He has tremendous talent. You can tell he has put in a lot of time in effort into the weight room and during practice. He is a downhill runner, who explodes out of the backfield and is able to break tackles, and has brake away speed. He leads his team in rushing and took the rattlers up and down the field and could not be stopped. It was as if defenders did not want to tackle him or they simply could not. Game Stats: 234 yards rushing on 27 carries with four touchdowns. https://twitter.com/BDammone/status/1332444121416523777 #7 QB - Britton Moore Quarterback Britton Moore leads a very impressive outing. He showed off his arm talent as well as his rushing ability in this huge win for the Rattlers facing a tough opponent. Moore can drop back in the pocket beautifully with great footwork and release the ball with perfect timing giving his receivers enough time to make a play on the ball. He showed his scrambling ability and athleticism as he was one of the highest rushers in today’s game along with Carson Green. He showed great leadership and kept his team fired up as he lead them to a victory in today’s matchup. Prep-Redzone’s MVP: #13 RB - Carson Green https://twitter.com/C__Allstar13/status/1332450199764148232
