Q&A with Edison OL and UC Davis commit Jake Parsons

Last month, Edison (Huntington Beach) offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="25148" first="Jacob" last="Parsons"] announced his commitment to UC Davis. Parsons plays center for Edison and can play anywhere on the interior offensive line at the next level. He excels in the running game where he punishes nose tackles and takes good angles when bouncing to the second level. He is a solid pass blocker too with good footwork. When playing against an odd front (four down linemen) he will not hesitate to help one of his guards out by promptly knocking the defensive tackle over with ease. Parsons was one of the top center prospects in the state on 247Sports and the No. 18 overall offensive lineman in the state <a href="https://prepredzone.com/california/rankings/2021-rankings/">according to Prep Redzone</a>. We are controlling what only we can control. One thing is that we have been faced with lots of adversity this off season, and we have been over coming every obstacle thrown at us. That includes winning the weight room, giving my all on the field, keeping my academics in check, and above all being a good son to my parents.
