The 35-3 Franklin Saber victory over the Southeast Conference rival Oak Creek Knights proved to be a hard fought but dominating Saber performance whose victory landed primarily on the shoulders of the large and talented defensive unit. Despite the meager 3 points for a Oak Creek offense that was far more talented than the final score displayed, the Knights still had several impressive individual performers - specifically defensively - who still caught the eye of PrepRedzoneWI. Find out who showed out and earned a PrepRedzoneWI Player of the Game award below, and thank you for reading.
Player of the Game: [player_tooltip player_id="31205" first="Myles" last="Burkett"] (Franklin) QB. 6’1, 205 lbs. 2022.
Showed off a naturally strong arm that could make throws at the deep, intermediate, and short level and looked really athletic at the QB position both in his footwork and when having to scramble or get outside the pocket and on the move to make throws. He was also a powerful runner who was a load for single tacklers to bring down, and was specifically an asset in the red zone where his running ability took extra importance. Not surprising at all he’s a FBS QB prospect and it was fun to watch him play.
Offensive Players of the Game
[player_tooltip player_id="30873" first="Dyson" last="Klubertanz"] (Franklin) WR. 5’10, 170 lbs. Was one of, if not the most, explosive player on the field, and when he touched the football the defense had to react and tackle significantly better than when anyone else had the rock. He was particularly lethal after the catch, where his speed, burst, and incredible shiftiness was able to be put on display. He was really good at cutting and anticipating attempted tacklers, and he even had a speedy 30ish hard punt return to showcase his athleticism even further. Someone is going to get a steal with Klubertanz.

[player_tooltip player_id="31013" first="Marko" last="Rajkovic"] (Franklin) TE/WR. 6’5, 215 lbs. Proved to be a versatile offensive weapon who ran like a wideout, blocked like a TE, and could line up all over the field for the Sabers. He showed strong hands and a good ability to get open, and made multiple quality receptions, including a beautiful catch on a fade in the back of the end zone for Franklin’s second score of the game. He’s a really intriguing college prospect who can definitely play some scholarship ball at the next level.
Defensive Players of the Game
[player_tooltip player_id="31064" first="Noah" last="Jessup"] (Franklin) DL. 6’5, 215 lbs. Really dominated the LOS defensively most of the night for Franklin, and has a tremendous frame with a ton more room to add weight going forward. His length and strong hands made him hard for opposing OL to figure out, and he used a promising blend of strength and speed off the edge to disrupt the Knights passing game all four quarters. Some college needs to scoop him up for the next four years!
Zach Peterson (Oak Creek) DB. 5’9, 180 lbs. Made one of the flashiest plays of the night as he perfectly dropped and reacted to an attempted Burkett pass up the middle for a pretty little interception that he returned 80+ yards down inside the 15 of Franklin. It was by far the best Knights play of the night either offensively or defensively. He was also stout in run support and would make a fine DB in college.
[player_tooltip player_id="31374" first="Sean" last="Garcia"] (Oak Creek) DB. 5’10, 150 lbs. 2022. Made multiple impressive PBUs against a potent Franklin passing attack deep down field and showed to be comfortable when the ball was in the air and when running with WRs. He was also not shy at all to come up and tackle.
[player_tooltip player_id="31243" first="Daniel" last="Martens"] (Franklin) DB. 5’11, 185 lbs. 2022. Was all over the field in pass coverage and run defense and could line up at OLB, either safety spot, or even CB if needed. He was sticky in coverage and a strong tackler.
Special Teams Players of the Game
Luke Cool (Franklin) K. Nailed three FGs on the night for Franklin, one of which was a 40+ yarder, to consistently and continually put the ball game out of reach for the opponent Knights. Also kicked a strong kickoff and was a really intriguing college kicking prospect.
Nolan Mobley (Oak Creek) K. 2022. Kicked the only points of the ball game for the Knights on an impressive 30ish yarder that not every high school kicker is making.
