RB: [player_tooltip player_id="39034" first="Baron" last="Huebler"], 5’9, 185, Roncalli, SR
This is a smaller but shiftier back with plenty of production. Baron shows sudden feet and will make explosive cuts to evade a tackler. He’s tough to bring down in the open field and has a strong lower half that helps him run through defenders arm tackles. He’s a patient runner with a mean jump cut he uses to get to the outside. Despite being a smaller back, Huebler is a tough runner between the tackles and isn’t afraid to lower his shoulder to finish runs. Right now, he holds 1 FCS offer from Valparaiso.

Blake Huffman, 5’7, 168, Columbus North, SR
Huffman’s best trait has to be his balance and ability to break tackles. This young man is equipped with a nasty spin move that made defenders look silly. He knows how to stick his toe in the ground & will get north and south quick. He has the ability to stop and start seamlessly, allowing for his blocks to set up in front of him. He consistently finishes his runs falling forward, which is truly telling to me because he’s not a bigger back.

Capoleton Presswood, 5’9, 185, Evansville North, SR
A game-breaker who can effortlessly make an unblocked linebacker whiff on a tackle attempt. Presswood has wheels, too, and it wasn’t uncommon to see him kick the burners on, and gash defenses for long touchdown runs. Multiple times on film, it looked like defenders had an angle on him to make a tackle, and he simply used his straight-line speed to blaze past them. This kid has taken a monster step forward as a senior and has developed into a true three-down back.

Joseph Heuer, 5’8, 165, Lowell, JR
On film, Heuer has good shake to him and can make safeties miss in 1 on 1 situations. He shows incredible balance as an inside runner and will literally throw attempted tacklers off of him. He’s a dangerous kick returner that teams will have to gameplan around week to week. He has experience at defensive back as well & showed strong tackling ability to go along with great range. I think he’s at his best as a true scatback, and he should see his recruiting stock increase this off-season.

Lavarion Logan, 5’11, 210, Merrillville, JR
Logan is a transfer from Joliet Catholic Academy in Illinois, the same high school that produced Rudy! On film, Logan is a powerful runner with massive quads that defenders often bounce off of. He’s at his best as a downhill runner, lowering his shoulder on a potential tackler. He’s slippery for a bigger guy and does a good job rolling with tackle attempts. He’s got some deceptive speed behind him & can get to the corner and break a long gain. I like this kid a lot, his build, power & top-end speed make him an intriguing prospect.
