AZ Week 9 Top Performers [player_tooltip player_id="42818" first="Gage" last="Dayley"], QB, 2022, Highland, 5’10” 160 lbs. In a 30-20 win over Casteel, he threw for 250 yards and four touchdowns on 16 of 19 passing. He has continued to show improvement while leading the Highland team to back to back playoff appearances. He’s an all around good football player that is highly competitive and shows great playmaking ability. His demeanor and poise in the pocket is something that stands out, never appears panicked or in a rush. Very accurate passer that locates the ball well and shows good anticipation and timing with his receivers. Displays plus athleticism and mobility avoiding pressure in the pocket and does a good job keeping his eyes downfield looking for an open target. He has good [player_tooltip player_id="42625" first="Jared" last="Williams"], RB, 2021, Chaparral, 5’11” 205 lbs. In the 26-8 quarterfinal victory over Queen Creek, he carried 30 times for 195 yards and three touchdowns. He’s ranked the #3 RB in the Arizona 2021 rankings by Prep Redzone. He’s a complete back that shows good ability as a ball carrier, a receiver, and as a blocker in the passing game. He has a good combination of power and speed that allows him to move the chains both between the tackles or on the outside. Has plus vision and drives his feet through contact complimenting his downhill running style and ability to break tackles in space. Northern Arizona, Minot State, and Ottawa have offered so far. Austin Rush, WR/DB, 2022, Yuma Catholic, 5’10” 150 lbs. In the 43-20 win over Thatcher he had 8 receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown, also had an interception on defense. He’s a young developing receiver in the Yuma Catholic offense. He has strong and confident hands, he shows a good ability to track and adjust to the ball in the air. Throughout the season he showed he can be a vertical threat as well be effective over the middle. Good potential and upside with 2023 Richard Stallworth at QB, expect them to continue to put up big numbers. Bryson Alder, ATH, 2021, Wickenburg, 5’10” 160 lbs. A versatile two-way athlete that has filled the stat sheet for Wickenburg all season. In the playoff loss to Pusch Ridge he had 21 carries for 75 yards and 5 receptions for 130 yards on offense then 12 tackles and 1 interception on defense. On the season, he had over 1,700 scrimmage yards, 16 touchdowns, and 70 tackles. He’s a plus athlete that is quick and shifty. He shows good change of direction and acceleration out of his cuts. As a ball carrier, he has good vision and cut back ability with the speed to finish off runs in the endzone. Love the way he’s able to make defenders miss in the open field. Wrapped up a strong career at Wickenburg. [player_tooltip player_id="42842" first="Brandon" last="Craddock"], LB, O’Connor, 2022, 6’0” 210 lbs. Craddock led the O’Connor defense all year and that continued through the first round of playoffs. He racked up 13 tackles, three tackle-for-losses, and two sacks in the 28-21 victory over Basha. He’s an aggressive downhill linebacker with a great motor and nose for the football. He’s a strong blitzing or pass rushing LB with his ability to get into the backfield quickly and make plays behind the LOS. He’s a smart player with a high football IQ, he is instinctual and is able to diagnose plays quickly. Strong tackler that is strong and powerful at the POA. He’s one of the top linebackers in the state as a junior. [player_tooltip player_id="42629" first="Kentrell" last="Williams"], DB, 2021, Chandler, 5’11” 185 lbs. The Eastern Washington commit came up big in the 52-0 victory against Desert Edge when he returned a punt 60 yards for a touchdown and also had an interception in the endzone. Williams is an impressive athlete with speed, quickness, and lateral agility coming from the safety position. He has fluid hips throughout his transition out of the backpedal and shows good burst out of his break. Displays good footwork/technique and is efficient with his movement. Plus ball skills and when he can’t make plays on the ball he’s a strong and physical tackler. Offered by Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Western New Mexico before his commitment to Eastern Washington. Other Top Performers: Brady Overson, DL, 2021, St. Johns: 6 TFLs and an INT 22-21 vs Scottsdale chrisitan. Zach Kilburg, RB, 2022, Desert Mountain: 27 carries for 215 yards and 2 TDs. [player_tooltip player_id="42845" first="Logan" last="Hubler"], QB, 2022, ALA: 4 total TDs, 3 passing and 1 rushing, threw for 350 yards. Aki Pulu, LB/RB, 2022, Cactus: 12 tackles and 3 TFLs, 2 INTs one that he returned for a TD, 2 rushing TDs. Hunter Ogle, RB, 2021, Santa Cruz: 18 carries for 306 yards and 3 TDs.
