Top Quarterbacks of 5A District 2
With the 2020 season winding down, I’m spotlighting Quarterback prospects from every classification in Florida. Today we look at the 5A District 2 area which is loaded with talent from the North Florida area. Big time players and some under the radar prospects are spotlighted below!
Jaquez Moore- Suwanee
6’0 197lbs
Moore is an outstanding dual-threat quarterback that holds over 10 offers including a power 5 offer from Duke University. Moore has elite athleticism, acceleration, cutting ability and the ability to make highlight-reel plays. He does a really good job of extending plays with his feet and keeping his eyes downfield. He could play multiple positions at the next level. He’s passed for 1020 yards and 12 touchdowns and rushed for 884 yards and 15 touchdowns so far on the season!

Desmond Greene- Wakulla
6’0 170lbs
Greene is an outstanding athlete that could also play a number of positions at the next level, he excels on both sides of the ball. He’s thrown for 1084 yards and eight touchdowns and added 384 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. On defense he has 3 ints and 15 tackles. He has outstanding burst, acceleration, and breakaway speed. He’s also an outstanding free safety showing great range and deep coverage ability. He currently has two offers from Avila University and Coffeyville Community College.

Michael Townsend- Rickards
6’0 165lbs
Townsend is a sophomore who has led Rickards to a 4-1 record and and has passed for 687 yards and 7 touchdowns while adding another 304 yards on the ground. He’s averaging 186 yards of offense on the season. He’s a nice athlete that can ad lib on the fly and fit the ball into tight windows, while also showing the ability to throw with touch when needed.

Lonnie Williams- Tallahassee Godby
6’0 200lbs
Williams has led Godby to 3-3 record and in the hunt for a playoff spot this season. In six games this season he’s thrown for 805 yards and 9 tds, and rushed for another 137 yards on the ground. He’s a dual-threat quarterback that is an above-average athlete he’s capable of getting out of trouble and scrambling effectively. He has a good arm and shows really nice touch on his deep passes. He currently has one offer from Avila University.
