The greatest thing about Florida high school football is every year, even one like this that has been shadowed by the pandemic, top-flight football talent continues to emerge, and that is something that college coaches need to start watching.
Once again, today, we bring you five athletes who are making sure that 2020 is special:
2023 – Jaden Booker, RB, Naples Palmetto Ridge. On a team that has certainly been one of the major surprises this season in the state, to have a young player like this who has been a productive member of the best team in school history. One of several underclassmen that the Bears send out each week. Once he gets out in the open, forget about it. Quick and football smarts beyond his years.

2022 – Christian Ellis, DB, Jacksonville Trinity Christian. Easily one of the best prospects for the 2022 class, what this impressive talent has been able to do this season is make a major contribution to a program that has turned out to be one of the elite – especially in 3A. Solid football talent who continues to impress.

2023 – Santana Fleming, WR, Miami Carol City. After playing his freshman season at Miami Central, and enjoying a solid off-season, his move to play for the Chiefs has worked out. For the second straight week, Fleming has been a leader on offense, delivering once again. The big-play receiver had six catches for 135 yards and 2 TD’s in a win at Port Charlotte.

2021 – Zay Mathis, Athlete, Winter Haven All-Saints Academy. Talk about a versatile football talent, this young man is truly exactly that. Run the ball from scrimmage, catch the ball out of the backfield or block, this is the total back, who is a big-time threat to make plays every week – and he has against some top players.

2021 – Jai Robinson, DE/TE/P, Jacksonville Lee. What’s not to like about a football player who plays a role on each side of the ball as well as serving as the punter. Solid football player who gets open as a receiving tight end, and also comes off the edge as a pass rusher.
