We had an interesting in-conference game between West Allegheny and South Fayette last night. Here are 6 players who stood out.
South Fayette – <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27360" first="Charley" last="Rossi"]</strong> (SR) Wide Receiver 5’9 175: Charley had some impressive catches with a total of 9 receptions, 137 yards, and 2 touchdowns. He also had an INT touchdown mid-4th quarter.
South Fayette – <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27352" first="Naman" last="Alemada"]</strong> (SR) Quarterback 6’5 200: Naman showed a better performance in this game than the previous game I watched a few weeks ago. He had some mistakes but nothing crucial that would have changed the outcome. He was 19 of 26 for 212 yards and 2 touchdowns with 1 INT.
South Fayette – <strong>Tristan Bedillion</strong> (SR) Linebacker 5’11 170: Tristan lacks quickness but has decent speed. He had a few tackles including 2 sacks. One sack came on a huge 3rd down early 3rd with West Allegheny in the red zone. He also added an INT touchdown in the 4th quarter.
West Allegheny – <strong>Nico Flati</strong> (SR) Linebacker 5’10 200: Nico showed to be all over the field. He has decent speed, shows physicality. He was in involved in the running game, also had quite a bit of tackles including a sack.
West Allegheny – <strong>Mason Palaima</strong> (SR) Wide Receiver/Safety 5’11 160: Mason was involved in the passing game. He has an okay release, shows to sink hips. Good ball skills. Does lack speed. He made a few tackles on defense. He had a huge recovery on the kickoff to start 2nd half down by 17. Unfortunately, that procession did not lead to any points.
South Fayette – <strong>Keon Johnson</strong> (JR) Defensive End 5’9 230: Keon has impressed me with both games I have watched. Statistically did not have a huge game but showed disruptiveness, had a few tackles and a QB hit.
<strong>MVP</strong>: [player_tooltip player_id="27360" first="Charley" last="Rossi"]
