<span style="font-weight: 400;">Week eight is in the books and here are some of the top performers from Central Texas.</span>
<b>Brett Chambers, Crawford RB:
</b><span style="font-size: 1rem; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">The #7 Pirates rolled to a 47-0 victory over the Rio Vista Eagles on Friday in Crawford. The Pirates’ extended their three-game streak of scoring 45 points or more since district play.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Chambers played a key role in the victory on both sides of the ball. He ended with 13 carries for 106 yards, two receptions for 68 yards and four total touchdowns.</span>
<b>Samari Howard, Temple RB:</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Temple beat Copperas Cove 55-21. Junior Samari Howard ran for 141 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries.</span>
<span style="font-size: 1rem; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">The Wildcats got a late start to the season due to rules set in place by the UIL, but now sit at 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in District 11 6A.</span>
<b style="font-size: 1rem; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">Zach Hrbacek, Troy RB:
</b><span style="font-size: 1rem; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">Troy defeated Cameron Yoe in overtime 21-20. Sam Houston commit Zach Hrbacek ran for 257 yards and two touchdowns on 39 carries.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The Trojans are now 4-3 on the season and 2-1 in District 11 3A DI play. Troy will travel to Caldwell next week to face the 2-5 Hornets.</span>
<b>Tre Wisner, Connally RB:</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Waco Connally beat Jarrell 56-22. Sophomore Tre Wisner ran for 181 yards and three touchdowns on nine carries.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Connally, (4-3, 2-1) rebounded nicely after falling to #10 Salado last week 20-15. The Cadets will host (2-4 1-2) Gatesville next week.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="60454" first="Dane" last="Jentsch"], Grandview QB:</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Jentsch passed for five touchdowns, ran for another and helped his team to a 58-14 win over the West Trojans.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The #2 ranked Zebras are 7-0 this season and 4-0 in District 7 3A DI play. Grandview will take on 0-5 Dallas Life School Oak Cliff next week.</span>
<b>Luke Bradshaw, Bosqueville QB:</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Bradshaw threw for five touchdowns </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">and 255-yards in a 68-7 route of Valley Mills on Friday.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The Bulldogs are now 4-2 on the season and 3-0 in district play. Bosqueville will face their toughest challenge of the season next week as host #7 Crawford for what will likely be the District 7 2A DI championship game.</span>
<b>Reed Michna, Lorena RB:</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Michna helped lead the Leopards to a 41-14 victory over McGregor, while rushing for 137 yards and four touchdowns.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Lorena is now 4-2 on the season and 2-1 in district play. The Leopards will travel to Cameron next week for a tilt with the 4-3, 2-2 Yoemen. </span>
<b>Jarrell Wiley, Mexia RB:</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Wiley carried 11 times for 163 yards and two touchdowns, as the Blackcats knocked off Van 40-28.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Mexia is 3-4 on the season and 2-0 in district play. The Blackcats will host 6-2, 2-0 Bullard next week and the winner will be the front runner in District 7 4A DII.</span>
