Top Linebackers 4A Region 1- PART 1

Big time players and some under the radar prospects are spotlighted below!</em></strong></span> &nbsp; <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id="32838" first="Caden" last="Fordham"]- Bolles School </em></strong> <strong><em>6’2 218lbs</em></strong> Fordham is one of the best linebacker prospects in the Southeast region, he’s a high IQ player, he shows great range and sideline-to-sideline ability, has a nose for the ball, and is an excellent tackler. He’s currently committed to North Carolina State University. <strong><em>Film: </em></strong><a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/9348607/Caden-Fordham">https://www.hudl.com/profile/9348607/Caden-Fordham</a> &nbsp; <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id="50287" first="Jack" last="Pyburn"]- Bolles School  c/o 22</em></strong> <strong><em>6’3 230lbs</em></strong> Pyburn is a big-time Prospect with great size and strength, he diagnoses plays quickly and reacts like a missile to the ball. He’s a superb tackler and shows outstanding aggressiveness and will run through blocks to get to the ball-carrier. He’s also good in coverage, big-time all round player. <strong><em>Film: </em></strong><a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/9235987/Jack-Pyburn">https://www.hudl.com/profile/9235987/Jack-Pyburn</a> &nbsp; <strong><em>Mack Marrone- Bolles School </em></strong> <strong><em>6’0 208lbs</em></strong> Marrone is a really good all-around athletic linebacker Prospect, he runs really well, he does a good job in pass coverage and make plays on the ball in the air. He diagnoses plays quickly and is constantly attacking downhill. Does a good job slipping blocks and getting to the ball. <strong><em>Film: </em></strong><a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/9343716/Mack-Marrone">https://www.hudl.com/profile/9343716/Mack-Marrone</a> &nbsp; <strong><em>Brody Casiple- North Bay Haven</em></strong> <strong><em>6’0 190lbs</em></strong> Casiple is a tackling machine that leads 4A Region 1 with 81 tackles in six games and averaging 13.5 tackles a game! He has a nose for the ball and is a solid tackler.  Doesn’t waste steps and is very smart. Really good player and prospect that could also translate to safety at the next level. <strong><em>Film: </em></strong>https://www.hudl.com/profile/10999338/Brody-Casiple &nbsp; <strong><em>Keegan Schubert- North Bay Haven</em></strong> <strong><em>6’0 200lbs</em></strong> Schubert does a good job reading his keys disengaging blocks and getting to the ball. He also shows the ability to play sideline-to-sideline. He’s averaging 10.5 tackles a game. <strong><em>Film: </em></strong><a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/10813247/Keegan-Schubert">https://www.hudl.com/profile/10813247/Keegan-Schubert</a> &nbsp; <strong><em>Balin Strickland OLB- Santa Fe</em></strong> <strong><em>6’1 204lbs</em></strong> Strickland is a very high IQ linebacker, he does a good job taking on blocks with leverage. He’s a good tackler that does a good job bringing his arms and getting ball-carriers to the ground. Nice small school prospect. <strong><em>Film: </em></strong>https://www.hudl.com/profile/9627121/Balin-Strickland &nbsp; <strong><em>Tyler Schmitz OLB- North Bay Haven c/o 22</em></strong> <strong><em>6’2 190lbs</em></strong> Schmitz is a smart linebacker that knows his responsibilities and doesn’t get sucked into misdirection and eye candy from the offense. He does a good job getting to the quarterback showing closing speed and burst. He’s very active and aggressive in run support and has speed in pursuit. <strong><em>Film: </em></strong><a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/12911146/Tyler-Schmitz">https://www.hudl.com/profile/12911146/Tyler-Schmitz</a> &nbsp; <strong><em>Desmond Peterson- North Bay Haven</em></strong> <strong><em>5’10 190lbs</em></strong> Peterson plays defensive end in high school, but he has the athletic ability to make the switch to linebacker in college, he’s does a terrific job using his hands to shed blocks and get to the ball.
