Every week, a new star is born – and we are fortunate to bring them to you.
For 50 years, athletes in the Sunshine State have been able to get their names out to college coaches across the country – and that is something that we take great pride in doing.
Today, we add five more prospects for everyone to check out.
2021 – Jertavis Black, DL, Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons. One of the under-the-radar prospects in the state of Florida. This is a student/athlete who is a major difference maker – as he showed recently with four tackles and three sacks against Miami Monsignor Pace. He is also an impressive student in the classroom, which is something that college coaches love to see.

2022 - [player_tooltip player_id="50157" first="Lin" last="Johnson"], QB, Bartow. Here is an outstanding football player we started to watch last year – and spotlighted this young man as he showcased so many skills – and that is something that college coaches have been watching. Recently, this talent went 16-of-24 passing for 182 yards passing and two touchdowns and also added 61 yards rushing in the Yellow Jackets’ 30-13 victory over Kathleen. Solid prospect.

2024 - Zay McDaniel, RB/DB, Wewahitchka. In helping his football team win for the fifth time in six games this season, here is one of the fast-rising stars in the state of Florida for head coach Bobby Johns and the Gators. His 300 yards rushing on 23 carries for 319 yards rushing and a touchdown plus had a kickoff return for a touchdown in a 61-35 win over Liberty County.

2022 - Al’Querioius Ray, RB, Green Cove Springs Clay. In a state loaded with talented running backs, here is yet another who is grabbing the spotlight – and recent games like a three-touchdown, 243-yard effort in a 50-22 win over West Nassau only shows that this is one of those football players everyone will keep watching over the next two years.

2021 - Jaden Rivera, RB, Navarre. With colleges looking in his direction every day, here is a top-flight football player who continues to spark this football program here in 2020 – like he did recently when his 13 carries resulted in 169 yards and two scores in a 50-21 win over Fort Walton Beach Choctawhatchee.
