Myles Purchase commits to Iowa State



The 5-foot-11, 170-pound cornerback has shown the ability to run with receivers in man coverage and giving quarterbacks little room to throw the ball in his direction. He is just as effective in zone coverage reading the quarterbacks eyes and understanding route concepts to jump on routes and breakup passes. In his third season as a starter, he has compiled over 100 tackles and 11 interceptions so far for Cherry Creek while helping the Bruins win the state title last year. In addition to his defensive skills, Purchase has also been one of the top return specialists in the state of Colorado. He has over 1,500 return yards on kickoffs and punts combined, and he has scored multiple touchdowns that have helped swing momentum to his team. Itβs a role he could be suited for at Iowa State. Purchase joins Pine Creek defensive back Beau Freyler Beau Freyler 6'2" | DB Pine Creek | 2021 State CO in committing to Iowa State.
