RB: Taidhgin Trost, 6’, 170, Prairie Ridge, IL, SR
Just when I felt like I had a solid grasp on all of the talent in Illinois, I got sent Trost’s film! This kid is a gamer and put up the stats to back it up in 2019, totaling 1173 yards and 24 touchdowns for the State Championship Runner Up Prairie Ridge Wolves. On-film, Trost shows good wiggle and can accelerate quickly to run past defenders. Right now, he holds one Division Three offer from Augustana University.
TE: [player_tooltip player_id="56348" first="Liam" last="Porter"], 6’4, 240, Rapid City Central, SD, SR
Porter is a big tight end prospect who uses strength and aggressiveness to overpower defenders. I would not want to stand in front of this kid when he’s got a full head of steam coming at you. On-film, he showed soft hands and overall solid top-end speed after the catch. He’s a very talented prospect and doesn’t hold a single offer at the moment, but I think that’s bound to change.
RB: Chris Bowerfind, 6’, 210, Fossil Ridge, CO, SR
Man is this kid fun to watch on film. He is a tough runner between the tackles and will literally throw defenders off of him. He’s got phenomenal cutting ability to go with solid vision to see the cutback lane. He could potentially play on the other side of the football as an outside linebacker at the next level as well. I could see this kid picking up some FCS offers in the near future.
DB: Landon Hale, 6’2, 165, Yulee, FL, SO
Right now, Hale lines up as an outside linebacker for Yulee and has played very well as a sophomore. He’s got great burst for a longer kid and will chase plays down from the backside. He shows good body control and can easily make tackles in space. He plays linebacker right now, but it’s safe to say he’ll project as a strong safety at the next level. No offers yet.
DB: [player_tooltip player_id="60652" first="Jaiden" last="Jones"], 5’11, 160, Ida S. Baker, FL, FR
This is a name you may not know now, but you will soon in the near future. Just a freshman, but Jaiden has already shined on varsity, stepping up and performing like a veteran. He’s got great ball skills and is a natural at tracking the football in the air. He moves well and can even lineup at wide receiver from time to time. No offers just yet, but he has a lot of time to pick some up.
ATH: Chris Canal, 6’, 180, Cheshire Academy, CT, SR
This young man has the talent to play on either side of the ball and will make plays wherever you throw him. On offense, he’s a speedy slot receiver who’s dynamic in space. On defense, he’s a hard-hitting safety who can close ground quickly. Keep an eye on him this winter, as his senior tape will be pivotal in his recruitment.
LB: Chris Bonner, 6’3, 210, Southside, AL, SR
Bonner has practically lived in the backfield this fall, and has been a tackle for loss machine all season. He’s got good size at 6’3, 210 and loves rushing the passer. He showed good bend coming off the edge and almost effortlessly can fight off blocks in the run game. I think Bonner could end up being a nice steal for someone as he still doesn’t have a single offer.
DE: Trent Chavers, 6’3, 220, Canton South, OH, SR
If you’re looking for a twitchy pass rusher, look no further! To me, Chavers is an ideal fit as a 3-4 standup outside linebacker. He’s got a great first step of the ball and is quick to point of attack. He does a good job of dipping and ripping to defeat opposing offensive tackles pass sets. The talent is there for this young man and I think he’s an FBS type kid.
