Eight Men Gems: Stars From Remaining Undefeated Teams
After the first week of the Kansas Eight-Man playoffs, there are nine undefeated teams remaining.
Here is a scouting report on the gems of eight football who hope to extend their undefeated seasons through the Regional Playoff Rounds
<strong>Grant Schoenrock, Victoria </strong> – The Victoria Knights are still undefeated and with face Sylvan-Lucas in the Regional Round. Schoenrock, a junior, has more than 1,000 yards of total offense and accounted for 12 regular season touchdowns
<strong>Jacquez Coleman, Colony Crest</strong> – Coleman rushed for 88 yards and 2 touchdowns in a playoff win over Wakefield. Colony-Crest is 9-0 and will play Hartford in the Regional Round.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="35503" first="Kayde" last="Rietzke"], Wichita County </strong>– Rietzke, a senior quarterback had 1,058 yards rushing and 22 touchdowns for the Indians. Wichita County knocked off Hill City 68-22 in the opening round and will play Rawlins County in Regional play.
<strong>Devan McEwen, Lebo </strong>– McEwen came up big for the Wolves in a 58-0 win over Chetopa in the first round. The Lebo quarterback threw for 94 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 64 yards and three scores. Lebo will play Waverly in the next round of playoffs.
The other remaining undefeated teams in eight-man football are Sedan (9-0), Madison/Hamilton (9-0), Canton Galva (9-0), Hanover (7-0), and St. Francis (8-0).
