With so many interesting match-ups across Florida this week, trying to find the very best contest was not easy.
What this game came down to is two programs who have shown that they can play high level football each year.

It’s on to the outskirts of Jacksonville for Bartram Trail and Plantation American Heritage.
For the host Bears, under the direction of longtime mentor and coach
Darrell Sutherland, this is yet another opportunity to showcase a solid team against a well-respected opponent.
The Bears got off to this 3-0 start with a 50-40 win against St. Johns rival Creekside, beat 2018 state 8A champion Jacksonville Mandarin and then rolled over St. Augustine, 35-21.
This 7:00 kickoff will bring former NFL standout defensive back
Pat Surtain and his 2-0 team north.
This is a program that has won state titles and has produced a number of impressive football players. It is also a program that is no stranger to traveling. They have been everywhere over the past five seasons – and if hadn’t been for this pandemic, they were headed to New Orleans to play Coach Surtain’s alma mater, Edna Karr High.
With a 7-3 win over three-time defending 3A state champion Chaminade-Madonna, and a 27-0 win at Clearwater last week, the Patriots are all about defense this year – with many key performers on board.
The offense is young and is without a few standouts, so this strangling defense will certainly test Bartram Trail’s high-powered attack that has scored 111 points in just three games.
