Continue ReadingIn-order for PrepRedzoneWI to properly and thoroughly name the recipients of our Preseason All-State Teams for Wisconsin’s eight different divisions, I watched and reviewed the Hudls of every prep on every team in each division. This means that on average I checked out around 350 different players and their highlights per division, and for the biggest divisions sometimes up to 500 profiles. The only thing I watched more than Wisconsin prep recruits for those teams was the Hudl ads warning me against vaping, and after seeing each individual ad 100+ times, I can safely say I know each of the actors/victims story by heart. What I’m trying to get across is that I watched just about every high school football players highlights in the state, and I have more notes on these 2021s, 2022s, & 2023s than I know what to do with! Something I did find while reviewing these notes however, are some intriguingly tall and athletic prospects who – despite some of them lacking in football film – have a potentially high-ceiling in football and could be some lowkey recruiting gems. These “Tallboys” stood out to me for their size, as a lot of them are basketball players linked to their high school’s Hudl account, yet nevertheless have some serious potential on the gridiron. Many are them do not have much film, and all them have not yet been mentioned in any of my Preseason All-State Teams or the follow-up articles naming more standouts not named to those teams. However, they’re all worth checking out. Check out some of these tallboys below, and thanks for reading!
